The fourth performance from the 2024 South American tour, held on September 28th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, was recorded almost in full from the master for 1 hour and 54 minutes with an astounding audience shot from the front row of the arena. There was no one in front of me, and security was occasionally reflected, and although there were some concerns due to the slight shaking, Clapton was surprisingly close to me. And while most people expected it to be based on the set of the European tour before the summer of the same year, the set list was surprisingly largely replaced and had many rare numbers, and the show started with "Sunshine Of Your Love", which is usually played around the encore. The acoustic set, which also included "Badge," began with "Kind Hearted Woman Blues," which they hadn't performed since their 2023 Japan tour, followed by an unplugged version of "Running On Faith." This was surprising enough, but the next song was "The Call," which will be included in the new album that was just announced for release. In addition, "Change The World" was performed for the first time in 21 years since their 2003 Japan tour, "Lonely Stranger" since 1992's "Unplugged," and "Believe In Life," a song from 2001's "REPTILE" that has never been performed live, and it was full of surprises. After returning to the electric set, while there was a surprise "Behind The Mask" on the first day in Buenos Aires, here they returned to the standard "Got To Get Better In A Little While", and continued in the familiar flow from then on, ending the main set with "Cocaine", and for the encore "Before You Accuse Me", Gary Clark Jr., who was the opening act that day, and Daniel Santiago, who also played guitar in the acoustic set, jumped in and performed solo with Clapton to end. In any case, this is a must-see item for fans who can feel Clapton's endless spirit of challenge from the sheer number of rare numbers and their playing.
