The full front row video of the 4th performance of the latest South American tour, Sao Paulo performance is here! Following the first day of the Buenos Aires performance from Eric Clapton's latest South American tour in 2024, this week we will release the full front row video of the 4th day of the tour, Sao Paulo performance, which was also held on September 28th, the other day! As you can see, there is really no one in the front row, and it is a genuine front row shot with security occasionally reflected on the left edge. This is probably the first time we have seen such a video for Clapton. I am impressed that they were able to record the entire video without any problems in the front row. Since it was shot with a mobile phone, the screen is shaking from start to finish, but it is not that bad, the image quality is clear and the focus is fine. Fans are sure to be fascinated by shots that they have not seen much before. The main shot captures the entire stage from a slightly distant angle, but the frequent zoom-in captures Clapton and the members taking solos in close-up, making it a truly worthwhile video. And there are no problems. The audio is also clear because it was recorded in the front row. This is the first time in the history of Clapton's live performances that the audience shot is completely trouble-free from the front row! With this video, you will probably find a lot of discoveries, including the expressions of Clapton and each member, and the details of the play. Clapton's look on this day was a stylish outfit of a loose-fitting gray suit with a white shirt and no tie, in contrast to his unexpected poncho on the first day of the tour (of course, no cap). In the electric set, he played a dark blue Stratocaster from start to finish, and in the acoustic set, he was clearly seen holding a Martin. This work is the title of a single release, and is different from the footage recorded in the "2CD+DVD" set released at the same time. This tour was a surprise when it started! The appeal of this setlist is that it has been significantly changed from the European tour in May and June, and many rare and nostalgic numbers are included in the set. Some songs are being performed live for the first time in Clapton's career. Most people expected that the setlist for the European tour in May and June would be slightly changed, but it was a surprising and dramatic change. We will leave the explanation of each song to the next section, and fans will be very happy just to be able to see the latest stage with this good video. The band members are unchanged. Surrounded by reliable and talented members who perform solid performances, Clapton puts on a very fulfilling performance with a setlist full of surprises. Another topic is that Daniel Santiago, a local guitarist who has also guest-starred on Clapton's recent singles, made a surprise appearance on this day. Daniel Santiago is a guitarist who appeared at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in 2019 and 2023, and has participated in Clapton's recent digital single Heart Of A Child and the coupling song How Could We Know on the 7-inch single Moon River. He has been particularly close to Clapton in recent years. Please look forward to their collaboration. The unexpected set list is different from the spring European tour, and the set list is different from the first day! Clapton started the tour in good spirits. It seems that he had had enough rest from the European tour in May and June, and the first day was also full of content. And that good performance continued on the fourth day. The surprise was that they changed the set list from the spring European tour, including a surprise. This is what fans are most happy about. This means that for the more than three months since the last tour, Clapton was not just spending his vacation in a relaxed manner, but was spending time thinking about and deciding on the set list for the upcoming tour, rehearsing with the band, and preparing thoroughly. Moreover, the set list was different from the first day, so you can see how well prepared Clapton was. As a result, the opening was a surprise. A long intro was played, making you wonder "What song is this?", and the answer was Sunshine Of Your Love! This is a song that is usually played as an encore. This start was enough to make you feel that this tour was "interesting". After this, they created a good flow with Badge from the blues and cream era, and went into the acoustic set. The first song of the acoustic set was Kind Hearted Woman Blues! This is the first set-in since last year's Japan performance. He handled the falsetto without any problems and moved on to the next song. Next came the "unplugged" version of Running On Faith. In recent concerts, Clapton has always played numbers by his old friend, the late Jerry Lynn Williams, and this is why he put this song in here. It was a surprise enough up to this point, but the next song played was Change The World, which he hadn't played in a long time. This is the first performance in 21 years since the 2003 Japan tour. The audience was delighted. But what's more, there was another surprise. Lonely Stranger, the first in 32 years since "Unplugged" in 1992, and Believe In Life, a hidden masterpiece that was included in "REPTILE" released in 2001 but has never been performed live. It's a surprise among surprises. In Lonely Stranger, the vocal line is different from "Unplugged". And here Daniel Santiago is introduced by Clapton as "Friend of mine" and called to participate in three songs from Lonely Stranger. You can hear his solo in Lonely Stranger and you can see that he is a good acoustic player. Returning to the electric set, on the first day in Buenos Aires, they played the surprising Behind The Mask, but on this day, just like the previous tour, they played Got To Get Better In A Little While from their Dominos days. In fact, this song was played all the time on this tour. Clapton himself must have thought that this song was the best for the electric set resumption number. Then, Old Love, which features an emotional solo, is played. This song was the highlight of the last tour, so it was a number that once again proved Clapton's expressiveness with his guitar. The solo in the middle of the day was particularly excellent! This take, which also features a long solo in the intro, is definitely the highlight of the day. Don't miss this performance. Take a good look. And at the end, the regular set ended with blues and Cocaine, following the previous tour. For the encore, they played Before You Accuse Me, which was well received on the previous tour. In addition to Gary Clark Jr., who Clapton appointed as the opening act, Daniel Santiago also jumped in again, and both of them performed solos with Clapton. It's really rare to have two guests join in the encore, and you can see that this day was special. Guitar fans must listen. Anyway, this tour has a dramatically different set list from the spring tour. Moreover, this Sao Paulo performance was also different from the Buenos Aires performance on the first day. It's never been in Clapton's career that he changed the set list from the tour three months ago. Moreover, there are a lot of numbers that he played live for the first time in decades, or "for the first time in his career". I would like to simply praise Clapton's insatiable spirit of challenge. Curious, this is the first time that a high-quality audience shot from the front row has appeared in a concert video of Clapton.
