A must-see for fans! This is a collection of extremely rare 8mm videos of Eric Clapton that have been uploaded on the internet. This video was created by the "The Slowhand Archive Project" team, which created the exquisite complete video of the Ginger Baker Tribute Concert held in February of this year, which was recently released by our store and received positive reviews. Because the team seems to be formed by Clapton's core enthusiasts, the released footage is extremely valuable. Except for the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, and Delaney & Bonnie & Friends, for which official footage exists, the oldest official live footage of Clapton's solo performance is ``Old Gray Whistle Test'' from 1977. However, this work captures the ``moving'' appearance of Clapton in the 70s, which was not even known to exist, including Clapton at Fillmore East of Derek & the Dominos. Furthermore, it is valuable because it even includes footage from the German performance at the beginning of the European tour conducted by Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. In the 1960s and 1970s, when there were no video cameras, 8mm cameras were the only video recording media, and the maximum recording time for a single film was 3 minutes. Since there is no built-in microphone, audio recording was not possible. Therefore, all the videos recorded on this disc are not complete recordings of each song, but are a collection of so-called "broken" videos. It is thought that the photographer was filming only the best parts of each song in order to keep the video within 3 minutes. Of course, all the shots are from the audience seats. However, the great thing about this work is that the audience recording sound source of the recorded performance is completely synchronized with the video and dubbing is done. Some of the audience sources from Nassau and Dublin in 1978, and Fort Worth in 1979, which were not bootlegged, were also pulled and synchronized. They were probably collected from torrent sites and tape trading, but this alone gives you a sense of the team's agility and dedication. Watching only 8mm footage without sound is boring, no matter how valuable it may be. However, the audio in this video is completely synchronized and uses an audience source with very good sound quality, so you won't get bored at all. If you are a fan of Clapton, this is a work that you should watch. The footage from the Inglewood Forum in 1975 uses Mike Millard's superb master, which we recently released, and also captures the moment when Layla turned on the wah pedal in the middle of her solo. In addition, you can see for the first time that he performed with luxurious guests at the legendary outdoor hall "Crystal Palace" in 1976. The venue is structured with a large pond in front of the stage, and footage of excited customers swimming across the pond and rushing to the front of the stage was also captured. You can also listen to Ronnie Wood's comments after the performance. The scene where his friend guitarist Pete Townshend (The Who) joins the band at the Rainbow Theater in 1977 is also extremely valuable. He is shown showing off that "fan playing technique," and you can tell "Oh, it's Pete!" The 1979 footage is also valuable, as it was a very short-lived lineup that included British country guitarist Albert Lee in Tulsa Tops. In the bonus video, although it is in black and white, you can see Clapton's "long hair, no beard, 3-mic Les Paul custom" during the Dela Boni era. All of these are valuable footage, but the reason we were able to collect them was through the official fan club Where's Eric! It is believed that the company has been soliciting private videos and photos for more than 10 years. They actively solicited people to take secret photographs from the audience seats, which is originally a prohibited act. As a result, there were posts from fans all over the world, and it is thought that these 8mm videos were included in the posts. Although it was not used in the movie, the fact that Clapton's ``moving'' appearance from the 1960s and 70s has been preserved in this way is a valuable record in rock history, and the excellent live audio was perfectly synchronized. In that sense, it can be said that it has achieved a quality worthy of being passed down to future generations. I would like fans to take this opportunity to preserve this valuable video collection in the form of media. Enthusiasts also praise it! ! The image quality is 8mm, but it's priceless. And the synchronization of the audio is wonderful, and I was surprised at the high quality. Must see! !
