Enya achieved record-breaking success and solidified her reputation as a world-famous songstress during her time with ``WATERMARK''. The official out-of-print work, which can be said to be the video version of that masterpiece, has been decided to be released. The true identity of this work is "MOONSHADOWS", the first video work released in 1991. This is a masterpiece that has been precisely digitized from the Japanese laser disc, which is known as the highest version. This video work is a so-called clip collection. 1991 was the year that ``SHEPHERD MOONS'' was released, and although the title and (original) artwork are reminiscent of ``SHEPHERD MOONS,'' most of the content is ``WATERMARK.'' Contains clips for four songs, ``Orinoco Flow'', ``Exile'', ``Storms In Africa II'', and ``Evening Falls...'', and ends with the new song ``Caribbean Blue'' from ``SHEPHERD MOONS''. This is not a complete collection of clips. In fact, eight different clips were created from that masterpiece, but the four included in this work are those directed by Michael Gagan. Director Geigan is the person who created classic clips for various bands and artists in the 90s, and in addition to Enya, he has also created clips such as SIMPLY RED's "Fairground," ROXETTE's "Almost Unreal," and KULA SHAKER's "Govinda." This is a director's work. For that reason, this work has a high aesthetic sense throughout. Starting with "Orinoco Flow," which looks like the artwork of "WATERMARK" comes to life, "Exile," which looks like a Hollywood movie, "Storms In Africa II," which features an environmental healing film with playful nature and animals, and monochrome Each song has an extremely wide range of styles, such as "Evening Falls..." which combines a vintage feel and a fantasy feeling, and "Caribbean Blue", which has a moving painterly style... but with subtle angles and timing of cuts. The aesthetic sense creates a strange sense of unity. Beautiful clips of Enya that captivated the world 30 years ago. Currently, I think the most popular collection of her clips is the bonus DVD of the deluxe edition of the compilation album ``THE VERY BEST OF ENYA'', but ``Exile'' is a clip that cannot be seen even there. Each of the songs became Enya's own public image, but as a whole it is a masterpiece as a video work with a unique aesthetic. A beautiful piece that is not just nostalgic.
