A new discovery of a transcendent Millerd master that even surpasses the shocking "ANAHEIM 1974 1ST NIGHT"! The birth of a 2CD sound that shows off the true talent of an absolute master! This work is engraved with the "Long Beach performance on August 14, 1977". It is a transcendent audience recording. Mike Millard is famous for his recordings of YES and GENESIS, but he also left behind EL&P (although there were few of them). The most recent of these is the famous "ANAHEIM 1974 1ST NIGHT". The sound that was said to be "the official sister work of LADIES AND GENTLEMEN" was truly shocking, but Millard at that time had not yet blossomed into his true talent. It was the famous "AKG 451e microphone + Nakamichi 550 deck" that elevated him to a great man in history, and he met him in March 1975 (his first recording was with FOGHAT). Yes, this work was recorded after his talent had fully blossomed, and it is "the true mirrored sound of EL&P". Some of you may be wondering if there was a Long Beach recording before, if you are an avid collector. In order to explain this, let's first look at the position of the show. 1977 {"Quadrology" released on March 17th} May 24th - August 26th: North America #1 (66 performances) ←★Here★ October 15th - November 30th: North America #2 (35 performances) 1978 January 16th - March 13th: North America #3 (48 performances) ←※NASSAU COLISEUM '78 {"Love Beach" production → EL&P disbands} This is EL&P in 1973/1974, when they were at their peak. If you divide it by date, it can be roughly divided into three parts: "North America #1-3". The main one was "North America #1", and this work and the official "LIVE IN MONTREAL 1977" were also born from here. Since it is a very long leg, let's focus on "August", which is closely related to this work. Details of the August period * August 6th "OAKLAND 1977" ・ August 9th + 10th (2 performances) ・ August 11th: Long Beach performance * August 12th: Long Beach performance ← * Traditional recording * August 13th "SAN BERNARDINO 1977" * August 14th: Long Beach performance ← ★ This work ★ ・ August 15th-23rd (8 performances) * August 26th: Official "MONTREAL 1977" and others ... and so on. There is also an official work on the last day, but what I want you to pay attention to is the Long Beach performance in the middle. There were three performances on August 11th, 12th, and 14th, with "SAN BERNARDINO 1977" in between. "August 12th" has been famous since the analog era, but this work is the third performance "August 14th". In fact, this third performance is not the first time. It is also familiar from the masterpiece "LONG BEACH 1977 FINAL NIGHT" that shocked eight years ago. The introduction has become long, but here comes this work. It is a new recording that greatly updates the highest peak of the final day of Long Beach. The sound is... too transcendent! I've written it so far, but you can forget about the sound of this work completely from the already released group. It's already a completely different dimension. Not "completely" but "completely". In the first place, it's a different recording from the already released one, so it's natural that it's different, but it's still too transcendent. Even though "Virtuoso 346/347" was an exceptional sound for the 70's, this work even blows away 50 years of time and space. The core's extremely thick feeling, the closeness at zero distance, and the lack of surrounding audience noise are all perfect soundboard class. If you think about it, 1977 was the peak of Millard's history, when he continued to produce iconic masterpieces. This work is also top class among many Millard works, and is enough to make the charismatic "Millard in 19177" brand shine even more. Even "ANAHEIM 1974 1ST NIGHT" was as wonderful as the traditional official name, but this work easily surpassed that height. Why is Millard's history divided before and after the introduction of the "AKG 451e microphone + Nakamichi 550 deck"? If you listen to this work, you will understand it deeper than the sea. How amazing a sound could the encounter of "Millard's real talent + EL&P at its best" leave behind? A superb audience recording of the "Long Beach performance on August 14, 1977". A completely different recording from the previous release, this is the original master of the absolute master Mike Millard. The sound is not only already released, but also top class in all of Millard's works, with a very thick core, a zero-distance closeness, and no surrounding audience noise, all of which are completely soundboard class. This is the birth of a historic masterpiece where you can enjoy EL&P by Millard, whose talent has fully blossomed with the introduction of the "AKG 451e microphone + Nakamichi 550 deck"!
