The DVD compiles and records various audience footage, including mobile footage, from the 2016 Japan tour, which was Costello's first visit to Japan in three years, as part of the "DETOUR TOUR," which took place in Japan from September 5th to 7th, as well as the Italian performance on May 31st and the "Newport Folk Festival 2016" on July 24th. First of all, the theme of this "DETOUR TOUR" is a return to his roots, and a giant TV was set up on the stage, showing Costello's childhood, roots music, and photos of his family, while he sings and talks about his memories. The album includes a wide range of songs, from "Alison" from his debut album "MY AIM IS TRUE" to "I Can't Turn It Off" from his 2015 release "UNFAITHFUL MUSIC AND SOUNDTRACK ALBUM," and as a special guest, the up-and-coming folk rock group LARKIN POE (a unit centered around former LOVELL SISTERS sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell), who support Costello's sound world with their stunning harmony. From the Japan tour, which was held with a similar concept, four songs were recorded from Osaka on the 5th and three from Tokyo on the 7th, and all of the audio was matrixed with high-quality audience sources at soundboard level.
