Lately, the surprise of the sound source has started to rise again, and the weekly mirrored master is released, but this time it is the surprising 1991 Elvis Costello stage. It's a big surprise that Millard recorded his live performance in the first place, but when releasing this movie, the JEMS team wrote that ``he also recorded Costello in 1979 and 1989.'' The release of the movie is also awaited. Speaking of this time's sound source, speaking of Costello in 1991, he released the masterpiece "MIGHTY LIKE A ROSE", and following the success of his previous work "SPIKE", he signed a contract with major Warner in the United States, and record sales were strong. He has parted ways with his long-time backing band, Attractions, and formed a new band, Rude 5, made up of the musicians who participated in the recording of those two albums. The tour with them called "COME BACK IN A MILLION YEARS" started at a theater class venue in America. However, the fact that it ended at Madison Square Garden shows how popular it was at the time, but it was a very precious time for Millard to record it. Naturally, the tour will feature a large number of songs from "MIGHTY LIKE A ROSE," and it will also include a large number of cover songs from "KOJAK VARIETY," a collection of cover songs that was recorded by parallel members of the same album but not released at the time. This is a bullish composition. However, it ended up being a combination of ``new songs at the time'' and ``cover songs that had no context at the time.'' Costello probably started the tour at the theater in order to hear those reactions. The audience's reaction is easy to understand, and the songs included in "MIGHTY LIKE~" received a good response around "The Other Side Of Summer," which was released as the lead single, but when it comes to other songs, such as "Invasion Hit Parade," Everyone around me suddenly fell silent (even though it was a good song). In that respect, the songs on ``KOJAK VARIETY'' had the advantage of being covers even before their release. As a result, as the tour progressed, the songs from "MIGHTY LIKE~" were removed from the set list, and "Invasion Hit Parade" disappeared after only 6 performances. Millard recorded the day that included such extremely valuable repertoire. And as for this sound source, at the time of release it was noted that the sound image was a little distant for Millard, but for some reason, the sound quality was very good, helped by the fact that the venue was a theater class. In fact, JEMS praised it for its "rich and spacious sound quality." Costello's voice is especially close. Also, although the audience was lively at the beginning of the concert, they soon became quieter as the new songs continued (lol), which made it easier to listen to. And in the interval before the encore, Millard is captured talking to someone, so I can't help but be surprised. Up until now, his real voice has been heard when he asked for dubbing after The Who's ``L.A. FORUM 1973 2ND NIGHT: MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES'' and when he tested the microphone at the beginning of Pink Floyd's ``ULTIMATE MILLARD.'' I think it is extremely rare that his voice can be heard so clearly in his later years. The 1991 “MIGHTY LIKE A ROSE” and accompanying “COME BACK IN A MILLION YEARS” tour are very popular among enthusiasts, but above all, this is a surprising sound source because the item has been out for a long time.
