Elton John has overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed his retirement tour "FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD". Here is a live album that allows you to experience the latest stage at its finest. This work is recorded in "Hyde Park performance on June 24, 2022". It is a super-class audience recording when appearing at one of the UK's largest festivals "BRITISH SUMMER TIME". "FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD" began in 2018 when Elton declared the end of his tour life. It was originally scheduled to end in 2011, but was postponed again and again due to the pandemic that changed the world. It was finally resumed this year after the new work "THE LOCKDOWN SESSIONS" that was not even planned to be produced. This is the latest report from our shop, four years after the first tour report "PHILADELPHIA 2018 1ST NIGHT", so let's take a look at the tour overview again here (although it will be a bit long). 2018 September 8th - December 15th: North America #1 (44 performances) ← *PHILADELPHIA 2018 1ST NIGHT 2019 January 11th - March 18th: North America #2 (35 performances) May 1st - July 7th: Europe #1 (27 performances) September 4th - November 16th: North America #3 (33 performances) November 30th - December 23rd: Oceania #1 (13 performances) 2020 January 7th - March 7th: Oceania #2 (25 performances) 2021 "THE LOCKDOWN SESSIONS" released on October 22nd 2022・January 19-April 28: North America #4 (40 performances) ・May 21-July 4: Europe #2 (20 performances) ←★Here★ ・July 15-November 20: North America #5 (32 performances) 2023 ・January 27-28: New Zealand (2 performances) ・March 28-July 8: Europe #3 (48 performances) This is the overall picture of "FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD" that has been announced so far. More than 90 performances have been decided this year alone, and 50 performances have already been decided next year. Although there are many postponements from before the pandemic, the schedule is so powerful that you will wonder, "Are you really planning to retire?" The Hyde Park performance of this work is the home country edition of such a "restart FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD". It was the 15th concert of "Europe #2". This vacuum-packed show is a superb audience with an "ultra" attached. The core is extremely thick and zero distance. Although the vast sea of applause gives the impression of an audience, the essential performance sound and Elton's singing voice make you wonder, "Isn't this the latest distribution soundboard?" I expected the sound to be good because Hyde Park has no walls or ceilings to reflect sound, but I didn't expect it to be this good... What is particularly surprising is the rich bass. No matter how outdoor recording that directly picks up the sound output, the bass tends to be sucked into the space and become thin. However, the bass in this work is so powerful that the bass shakes the five organs and the bass drum kicks up the six viscera. Of course, since it is Elton's show, the balance of the bass is not a thunderous roar, but the vibe is still finely detailed and thick. The latest PA and recording equipment in 2022 easily jumps over the completely opposite environments of "outdoor sound" and "soundboard". It's a shocking sound that makes you feel awe for the technology that humanity has accumulated. What kind of superb sound is depicted in Elton, who sings a full show of over 140 minutes at the age of 75. The set has changed from "PHILADELPHIA 2018 1ST NIGHT", the first report of "FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD" delivered four years ago, so let's compare and organize it here. 70's Classics (19 songs) My Song is Your Song: Border Song/Take Me to the Pilot/Your Song Twilight Brick Road: Bennie and the Jets/Candle in the Wind/Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding/Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting/Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Others: Burn Down the Mission/Tiny Dancer/Levon/Rocket Man (I Think It's Going to Be a Long, Long Time)/Have Mercy on the Criminal (★)/Crocodile Rock/Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me/The Bitch Is Back/Philadelphia Freedom/Someone Saved My Life Tonight/Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word (★) 80's and After (4 songs) 80's: I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues/I'm Still Standing/Sad Songs (Say So Much) Lockdown Sessions: Cold Heart (★) *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on the first album "PHILADELPHIA 2018 1ST NIGHT". ...And so on. Instead of "All the Girls Love Alice", "Indian Sunset", "Believe", and "Daniel", "Have Mercy on the Criminal" and "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" are set. And what's noteworthy is the new song "Cold Heart" from "THE LOCKDOWN SESSIONS" released last year. In addition, "Border Song" is dedicated to Aretha Franklin, who died in 2018, and "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" is dedicated to George Michael (who died in 2016). It's a full show that only 2022 could offer. In any case, it's a new masterpiece of a live album that allows you to fully experience the latest stage with the superb sound that was realized only in 2022. The cutting edge of stunning spatial recording that will make you wonder, "What was a soundboard?" And Elton's rich singing voice, written with such a sound, is so wonderful that it seems like he will withdraw his retirement at any moment. It's like a masterpiece of the three elements of "good sound, good song, and good performance". A superb audience recording of the "Hyde Park performance on June 24, 2022". The core is extremely thick and zero distance. Although it is an outdoor recording with no echo, the performance sound and Elton's singing voice are so superb that you can't believe your ears, "Isn't this the latest distribution soundboard?" This is a new masterpiece that allows you to fully experience the retirement tour "FAREWELL YELLOW BRICK ROAD", which also featured the new song "Cold Heart".
