The latest and best live album of “ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE TOUR”, the first full-fledged tour in 30 years, has arrived. Since his dramatic comeback in Hyde Park in 2014, Jeff Lynne has gradually become more active, releasing the official video ``LIVE IN HYDE PARK'' and his first new work in 15 years, ``ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE.'' In 2016, they finally started their long-awaited world tour, which was a great success in various places. The aftermath is also visible in the charts, with their 2005 best album ``ALL OVER THE WORLD'' reaching number one in the UK for the first time in 35 years and becoming triple platinum, marking a complete comeback. This work is an audience album of “New York performance on September 18, 2016” that contains such a smooth sailing “ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE TOUR” with a wonderful sound. First, let's take a look at the tour overview. ・April 5th-29th, 2016: UK#1 (13 performances) → “LONDON O2 2016 FINAL NIGHT”・May 1-7, 2016: Europe (4 performances)《Approximately 1 and a half months later》・June 22-26, 2016: UK #2 (3 performances)《Approximately 2 months later After》・September 9th-18th, 2016: USA (5 performances) ←★Here★《About 9 months later》・June 24th, 2017: Wembley Stadium (1 performance) This is the overall picture of “ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE TOUR 2016”. The tour started in April and continued to perform at their own pace, ending with the US tour in September. This work was recorded on the final day. At our store, we introduced "LONDON O2 2016 FINAL NIGHT" at "UK # 1" at the beginning of the tour, but we decided to report on the beginning and end of 2016 with a live album. The sound of this work is exquisite, surpassing even “LONDON O2 2016 FINAL NIGHT”. Various recordings have appeared so far due to the tour being excited for the “first time in 30 years” and “complete revival”, but this work is outstanding among them. It's a type that should be called "just like a sound board", but it's so amazing that you can run away barefoot if you want to record a line like that. It would be nice if the strong musical tones were delivered with plenty of direct feeling, but the "ringing" is extremely beautiful and thick. You can tell that it is an audience recording because the emotions that are felt as each song ends and the applause is raw, but during the performance it is so perfect that you think it is a BBC broadcast sound source or an official live version. What is especially surprising is the deep bass. Even in modern times when equipment has advanced, it is difficult to record an audience, but this work's deep bass and rumble are so rich that you can feel the walls and floor of the venue shaking. I'm sorry for repeating the phrase "like a soundboard" from a while ago, but a vibe as real as this may only be possible for the very best audience. The latest concert, drawn with such super quality, is so wonderful that it is like a picture of “complete revival” and “smooth sailing”. The ensemble, which has performed at numerous concerts, is so impregnable that the perfection of its sound becomes hazy, and it delivers a group of masterpieces that shine dazzlingly one after another. The set list is a golden masterpiece rush that could be heard at the beginning of the tour “LONDON O2 2016 FINAL NIGHT”, but even “ELDORADO”’s “Can’t Get It Out of My Head” has been added. It is a bit disappointing that the new song “Ain’t It A Drag” and the rare “Steppin’ Out” fell instead, but there is no doubt that the set with even more “gold” shine would be bad. I've always said that "good sound," "good songs," and "good performance" are the three elements of a great music album, but this album has "perfect sound," "perfect set," and "perfect performance." This is a special product that has all of these things in one place. As mentioned above, there are no concerts scheduled for a while until the Wembley Stadium performance in June next year, but I didn't expect such a wonderful record to be left in that Chiakigaku. For JEFF LYNNE'S ELO... no, for British rock, this is a masterpiece of a music album that can be called the "treasure of 2016." Live at Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY.
