Another masterpiece live album was born from Kinney's original master. What was discovered this time was the memorable second performance in Japan. It is also the first Kansai performance since that big riot at Koshien. Their first visit to Japan in 1972 has become legendary as a major event in the history of Japanese Western music, but EL&P did not return for 20 years. The 1992 Japan tour was not just a return visit to Japan, but a special performance in Japan that was filled with 20 years of passion. As a result, the response was overwhelming, and a series of additional performances led to a large-scale tour with eight performances in total. This is a good opportunity, so let's visualize the outline here. ・September 10th: Kawasaki Bunka Kaikan ・September 11th: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall ・September 12th: Nagoya City Public Hall [September 13th: Off] ・September 14th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall [This work] 《September 15th: Off》・September 16th: Showa Women's Otomi Memorial Auditorium "HITOMI MEMORIAL HALL 1992"・September 17th: Shibuya Public Hall・September 18th: Shibuya Public Hall "BLACK MOON IN TOKYO"・9 March 19th: Shibuya Public Hall "BLACK MOON IN TOKYO" As you can see, there were 8 performances in 10 days. I had a very busy schedule with only days off on September 13th and September 15th. Moreover, if you look closely, out of the eight performances, Tokyo and Kanagawa accounted for six performances, and in western Japan, Osaka and Nagoya had one each. This work is an audience album of that valuable Kansai performance “September 14, 1992, Osaka Welfare Pension Hall”. The recording of this work was once also known as “RONDO”. It is a masterpiece that has been widely loved as a staple of Japanese performances with its tremendous high quality sound. However, at that time, there was a trend of not disclosing the recording location, so all MCs that seemed to be able to predict the name of the venue or place were deleted. For this reason, the recording was subject to various theories such as ``probably Osaka'' and ``actually Hitomi Memorial Auditorium?''. Of course, this work is not a copy of the previous release, but is a CD created using the latest technology from Kinney's original DAT. The complete recording of this day, including the MC that had been deleted, finally saw the light of day. And the most important quality is, as expected, an original DAT. Compared to the previous edition, which has been the representative of Japan for a long time, it has become much fresher, and even the direct feeling has been improved. Furthermore, the slightly faint reverberations of the venue were transparent, and the sparkling musical tones unique to the 90s were dazzling. The dynamism from pianissimo to fortissimo is amazing, and rather than saying "it's like a sound board", it's a super sound that makes you think "Isn't this even a sound board!?" Kinney's original DAT is not the only reason for achieving that ultra-high quality sound. The concentration of the audience at the venue was amazing as they watched and listened to the members' every move. They returned to Japan for the first time in 20 years, as there was a fierce ticket battle for the Tokyo performance, but the Osaka performance will only be held on this day. The atmosphere is so tense that you can almost hear the sound of a needle dropping. It has even become commonplace for progressive rock performances in Japan to be quiet, but I don't remember the silence up to this point. Only the musical sounds roar as if they were rehearsing in an empty venue or studio. However, between songs, the applause spread like a carpet, and towards the end, the cheers erupted like the waves of the ocean. Of course, it is not unmanned after all. The concentration of the audience was so strong that it drowned out their presence, and even just listening to the CD you felt so tense that you could feel yourself breathing. Although the vector is completely opposite to the big riot 20 years ago, the scalar quantity is the same. A truly “breathtaking” sense of urgency flows from the speakers. EL&P's performance, which confronts the Osaka audience head-on, is also amazing. Normally, it would have been difficult to perform to the quiet audience, but so far they have performed three times in Kawasaki, Shinjuku, and Nagoya. There, he seemed to be feeling the high expectations of Japan for the first time in 20 years, and he looked very dignified and didn't seem to be in a hurry. He simply concentrates on the music and performance and depicts the dramatic and intense world of EL&P. What's more, this Osaka performance is the only one on the Japan tour that has a day off before and after it. Although it was 20 years ago, the three of us at the time were in our mid-40s, so if we took one day off, we would be in perfect condition, and we wouldn't have to worry about the next day, so we would be able to perform at full speed. And the passionate performance that actually flows from this work is also a passionate performance that supports such favorable conditions. Although he returned to Japan in 1992 as a memorial, this was his only Kansai performance since the great riots 20 years ago. This is a reprint of Kinney's original DAT, a super quality masterpiece that has continued to reign as a masterpiece even when the performance location is hidden. This is truly a masterpiece that was meant to become a masterpiece. The ideal live album. This is a special masterpiece that shines like a shining star during EL&P's many performances in Japan, so be sure to keep it in your collection and pass it on to future generations.
