From the three-way live performance with DEEP PURPLE and DREAM THEATER, which received great acclaim in 1998, a complete recording of the Tinley Park, Illinois performance on August 22 with the highest quality sound. This is a rare take with direct recording from the recorder's DAT master. It reproduces a wonderful live performance with one of the highest sound quality among the venue recordings of the reunion ELP. Although the live performance is short at about 70 minutes due to the number of other performing bands, you will be able to enjoy a very rich performance. Karn Evil 9 is an arrangement unique to this period that forcibly combines the main part of the melody and intermediate part. Next, in the middle of Hoedown, following Keith's harmonica, the explosive sound of the ribbon controller is recorded in Ultra Clear, inviting excitement. Keith's solo piano performance in "Piano Concerto" can be said to be the best part to listen to. Listening to Emerson's willful play, which creates a wonderful drama with just one piano and without an orchestra, is heartwarming. It is also a characteristic of this period that they play Tarkus without hesitation, and it is moving to see these three perform the large-scale suite in their old bodies. (At the end of the main part, the end SE of "Brain Reform" also pops out.) I feel that the decision not to play "Pictures at an Exhibition" also plays a role in the band's creativity. The lively festival medley of "21st Century Psychopath," "Fanfare," "America," "Rondo," "Drum Solo," and "Organ Acrobatics" sounds like something you'd expect from a US tour, and it's a highly entertaining ELP. You can fully enjoy the excitement. Live at World Music Theater, Tinley Park, IL. USA 22nd August 1998 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters)(68:53) 1. Karn Evil 9 2. Hoedown 3. Knife Edge 4.
