This DVD contains the rare live footage of Einstürzende Neubauten, a German avant-garde group led by Blixa Bargeld, which made a big leap in industrial music, in the best quality from the existing master source. The first half of the DVD contains footage of their precious early performance in 1981, the year after their debut. They played percussive metal junk directly from Faust, constructed violent noises using electric drills, and presented unpredictable music. The stage, which expressed postwar nihilism in the same way as choreographers Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata, was so intense that sparks flew and Blixa Bargeld's desperate screams, which were indistinguishable from guitars, percussion, and power tools, were heard. The second half of the DVD contains footage of a live performance on November 24, 1990 in Dusseldorf, where they had become more mature. During this period, he expressed his unique sounds more gently with handmade instruments, and sometimes focused on classical music, with a sophisticated narrative stage composition. However, the origins of his early fierce noise music are universal, and lyrical aspects are everywhere. After this, Blixa worked as a guitarist for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, but his roots are still here.
