Mike Millard's master excavation project has been conducting a series of historical large-scale excavations since 2020. Introducing the super best master who is regarded as the best masterpiece. The main character of this work is THE EDGAR WINTER GROUP, which also included Rick Derringer. This is a superb audience recording of the "October 14, 1975 Long Beach Arena performance" when the single "Frankenstein" was in the midst of being a No. 1 hit in the United States. For more than a year, amazing sounds have been appearing every week, but the "good sound" may have never received as much attention as it did this time. After all, JEMS himself, who is in charge of excavating and releasing it, said, ``The Long Beach recording is Millard's best,'' ``It's closer, clearer, richer, and more fulfilling than any previous tape,'' and ``I'm not interested in Winter or Dillinger.'' "If you're a fan of Tomomillard's work, you should just listen to the sound," he says, raving about it as if he were a professional. In fact, there was no lie in those words. The core with zero sense of distance approaches fiercely and directly, and the details are super clear. Everything is perfect, from the lustrous deep bass vibe of the bass to the beauty of the saxophone that stretches into the void...I'll just paraphrase JEMS's words, so I'll stop here, but it's a soundboard that is better than any of Millard's previous works. and more beautiful than ever. A transcendental sound that expands the limits of 70's audience recording overflows from the speakers. The reason why such a great sound was achieved is probably due to the coincidence of everything meshing well. In fact, it seems that Millard was not a fan of Edgar, but decided to record him in response to his girlfriend's request. Even though "Frankenstein" was a hit, he wasn't that big of a name, so he was held in the sweet spot of "fourth row in the center," and the security in Long Beach was lax, so he had plenty of leeway without having to hide it too much. Apparently they were able to record it. This was compounded by THE EDGAR WINTER GROUP's own good sound output... Perhaps it was this easy-going, not overly ambitious sound that made the goddess of recording smile. And, what is depicted with such a masterpiece sound is a full show that includes a total of famous songs under solo and group names, and even Rick Derringer's repertoire. Let's organize the contents here.・Entrance: Tobacco Road ・White Trash: Keep Playin' That Rock 'n' Roll ・They Only Come Out at Night: Frankenstein/Free Ride/Undercover Man ・Jasmine Scent and Night Dreams: Shuffle Low・Mysterious luminous object: Let's Do It Together Again/Cool Dance/Just Another Punk ・Others: Rock And Roll, Hoochie Koo/Don't Ever Say Goodbye/Devil With The Blue Dress On...and this is what it looks like. Masu. It is a selection that hardly overlaps with "ROADWORK" and "TOGETHER", yet it firmly holds the representative songs of "THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT" and "WITH RICK DERRINGER". The full show, which lasted about 90 minutes, was enough to fill your stomach, but this time it didn't end there. In fact, at the beginning of Millard's original cassette, CLIMAX BLUES BAND, which was the opening act of the day, was also recorded. “Goin’ To New York” and “All The Time In The World” played in the encore are only about 9 minutes long, but it is very unusual that Millard is recording the undercard. Perhaps he liked the performance of CLIMAX BLUES BAND and turned the tape just for the encore, but this was also recorded with the same transcendental miracle sound as the main story THE EDGAR WINTER GROUP. It's not long enough to be released as a standalone song, so it was included as a bonus track at the end of this work. The key point of this work is the comment from JEMS introduced at the beginning. Of course, the live performance of THE EDGAR WINTER GROUP, which was in the midst of a big hit, is also wonderful, but what's more than that is the sound itself. It is a transcendental sound world that has made JEMS, which has released countless masterpieces, say, ``It's more amazing than any tape ever'' and ``Regardless of Edgar, you should listen to it if you're a fan of Millard.'' How much sound can Millard, an absolute master, leave behind through the culture of audience recording itself? Superb audience recording of “October 14, 1975 Long Beach Arena Performance”. This is a live album with a transcendental sound that is rumored to be the best in the collection of the absolute master Mike Millard, and JEMS, who is in charge of excavating and releasing it, says, ``It's closer, clearer, richer, and more fulfilling than any tape I've ever done.'' ``Even if you're not interested in Winter or Dillinger, if you're a fan of Millard's work, you should just listen to the sound,'' he said, praising it with all his might. They lined up a list of their representative songs, starting with ``Frankenstein,'' which was a huge hit at No. 1 in the United States, and also performed Rick Derringer's ``Rock And Roll, Hoochie Koo'' and ``Don't Ever Say Goodbye.'' It's a delicious live album that also includes two bonus songs from CLIMAX BLUES BAND, who was the opening act on the day.
