From the US tour accompanying the 1974 blockbuster "Shock Treatment," the September 3rd performance in New Haven, Connecticut is completely recorded for 1 hour and 20 minutes with an official ultra-high quality stereo soundboard recording. The 1972 Pittsburgh performance that was released the other day had the best sound and content, but this edition is also recorded with the best content and sound quality that exceeds the previous work. From the opening song Keep Playin' That Rock N' Roll, Edgar Winter's electric piano is intertwined with Rick Derringer's furious guitar play, and the band's voltage is already at its peak, and you can enjoy an extremely energetic live performance from the first song. The rhythm combination honed through years of live performances is perfect, and the band's ensemble is also the strongest. The interaction between vocals and guitar in the new song Do Like Me is amazingly powerful. The instrumental track 6, where you can fully enjoy Rick Derringer's various guitar playing, is also worth listening to. Anyway, Rick Derringer's intense riffs and solo play that color the entire show are just the best words. In the second half, a 14-minute long version of Frankenstein, which became an unprecedented US number one hit as an instrumental number, will be played. The vibration-filled interaction between Edgar's synth and Rick's guitar is also extremely exciting. The show ends with 10 minutes of intense rock and roll by Nu'Orlins/Long Tall Sally. This is a highly recommended piece that allows you to enjoy the scaled-up appearance of the Edgar Winter Band in its mature stage with a realistic top-line recording. Live in New Haven, CT.
