A reenactment tour of the historical masterpiece ``HOTEL CALIFORNIA'', which has been repeatedly postponed due to the new coronavirus pandemic. The latest live album that conveys the scene that has finally resumed has arrived. What is inscribed in this work is “New York performance on August 25, 2021.” This is a superb audience recording recorded at the traditional large venue “Madison Square Garden”. The official tour title this time is “HOTEL CALIFORNIA 2020 Tour,” but the reenactment concert started in 2019. In order to explain the circumstances around this, let's look at the schedule for the past three years. 2019, February 26th – March 14th: Oceania (9 performances), May 26th – July 8th: Europe (16 performances) ← *AMSTERDAM 2019 “HOTEL CALIFORNIA 2020 Tour”, September 27th – October 5: North America #1 (3 performances) February 7-March 7, 2020: North America #2 (10 performances) [March 21/May 1: Tour postponement announced] 2021・August 24th - October 2nd: North America #3 (15 performances) ←★Here★ ・October 12th - November 5th: North America #4 (7 performances) This is THE EAGLES from 2019 to 2021. The last time we reported on it was “AMSTERDAM 2019 (Uxbridge 1056),” but the only reproduction stage announced at that time was “North America #1 (Las Vegas).” After that, the tour title “HOTEL CALIFORNIA 2020 Tour” and the 2020 dates for the main part of the tour were announced. However, as soon as the tour actually started, a terrible pandemic occurred. It was postponed after just 10 performances (North America #2). After repeated postponements, the tour has finally resumed recently. The MSG performance was the first two days and was the second performance in which this work was recorded. Now, this work, which is a vacuum-packed version of such a show, is a masterpiece recording that truly depicts "the best" in the picture. Speaking of “Madison Square Garden”, it is a famous venue worldwide, but it is famous as a difficult place for audience recording. The wraparound is severe, and even the latest recordings tend to be blurry and bouncy. However, this work is wonderful because it completely dispels such "common knowledge of MSG". The famous "Schoeps Mk41", which is used by master tapers, is used, and the extra-thick core reaches straight to the ear without any time lag, and there is no sense of distance or sparseness at all. Moreover, the details are super clear. If you listen to it with headphones, you can hear that it absorbs the sound of the hall, but it's strangely transparent and even though it's glossy, it doesn't hide the details. The vocals are clear to the word of the lyrics even when the chorus overlaps, and the guitar is clear even to the nuances of the picking. Being a traditional large venue, we have handled MSG recordings of various bands/artists, but to be honest, I can't remember a sound as beautiful and vivid as this one. And the show content drawn with such beautiful sounds is the life of this work. The reproduction of famous records has become a hot topic, but that is only the first part of the show. In the second part after the reproduction, a normal style greatest hits show is unfolding. Moreover, it is amazing that only the second part has the same scale as a normal full show. Speaking of the live performance after Deacon Frye/Vince Gill participated, the official version “LIVE FROM THE FORUM MMXVIII” is famous, so let’s compare and organize it. Part 1 (DISC 1) Hotel California (all songs): Hotel California / New Kid in Town / Life in the Fast Lane / Wasted Time (★) / Wasted Time (Reprise) (★) / Victim of Love (★) / Pretty Maids All in a Row (★) / Try and Love Again (★) / The Last Resort (★) Part 2 (DISC 2-3) / First: Take It Easy / Witchy Woman (★) / Peaceful Easy Feeling・Rogue: Tequila Sunrise/Desperado ・On the Border: Already Gone/Best Of My Love (★) ・Cursed Nights: One Of These Nights/Take It To The Limit/Lyin' Eyes ・Long Run: In The City/I Can't Tell You Why/Those Shoes/Heartache Tonight/The Long Run/Hell Freezes Over: Love Will Keep Us Alive/Other (Joe Walsh): Funk #49/Walk Away/Rocky Mountain Way /Life's Been Good・Others; Seven Bridges Road/The Boys of Summer *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the official version “LIVE FROM THE FORUM MMXVIII”. ...and a powerful full show with 31 songs and 3 hours and 2 minutes. Even the official version “LIVE FROM THE FORUM MMXVIII”, which had 26 songs and 2 hours and 18 minutes, felt like it had a large volume, but it is far from that. It's a big show that seems to be playing all the songs that are required, rather than saying, "What songs are you playing?" This work is just a live album for one stage, but the listening experience is more like "Hotel California + Best Edition". It is no exaggeration to say that this one book is packed with everything you could hope for in the current configuration. A 3-disc set with the latest report and the ultimate sound, performance, and set. The best audience recording of the reproduction show “August 25, 2021 MSG Performance” of the famous album “HOTEL CALIFORNIA”. Speaking of MSG, it is famous for being a difficult place to write guest records, but this work is amazing and completely dispels common sense. The famous "Schoeps Mk41" is used, and the extremely thick core reaches straight to the ear without any time lag, and there is no sense of distance or sparseness at all. The sound of the hall is also strangely transparent, and even though it is glossy, it does not hide the details, and every word of the vocal and the nuance of the picking are clear. "Part 1 Complete Reproduction of HOTEL CALIFORNIA + Part 2 Greatest Hits" is a total of 31 songs, 3 hours and 2 minutes, and is the ultimate 3-disc set packed with everything you could want in terms of quality and quantity.
