``OCTAVARIUM'' is a masterpiece that John Petrucci called ``his greatest work.'' A live album that includes the extremely rare and completely reproduced live is now available! This work is an audience album containing the final day of the 2006 Japan tour, "January 16, 2006, Shibuya AX performance". The set list changed every time they performed in Japan this year, and there was even a complete reproduction of DEEP PURPLE's "MADE IN JAPAN," which became a hot topic of discussion. Just as shocking as the PURPLE cover was the final day when they played the then new album “OCTAVARIUM” in its entirety. Moreover, “OCTAVARIUM reproductions” are extremely rare even in the world. Besides this Tokyo performance, the only confirmed performance is "October 31, 2005 Rome performance", which is only the second time in the world. It is one that recorded one of them in full show. This work, which contains such a rare live performance, is a direct CD version of the master provided by the recording artist himself. At that time, it was released under the title "LIVE EVIL", but it died instantly because it was a super limited edition of only 30 copies. Since then, the recording has been dormant for 10 years, and I woke it up again from the original master. Since it's such a rare item, I thought the sound was secondary... It is an extremely high quality sound that ignores the rare circumstances. Of course, it was given to me by the person who recorded it at the scene, so there is no doubt that it was an audience recording, but the clear musical tone and direct feel are just like a sound board. Moreover, the enthusiasm that was condensed in the small venue only at Shibuya AX for the additional performance is extremely close, and it is a mirror and a model recording of audience recording with plenty of on-site feeling and dynamism of audience recording. The show that unfolds with that sound is a “two-part + encore” format. First of all, Disc 1 opens with "As I Am" from "TRAIN OF THOUGHT", and in a regular concert format, they perform a repertoire of masterpieces such as "WHEN DREAM AND DAY UNITE", "AWAKE", and "METROPOLIS PT. 2". Masu. As I wrote earlier, this tour changes the set every day, and even though it's the usual style, there are surprises. The two songs “Speak To Me” and “In The Name Of God” were rare performances only on this day in the Japan performance. And the second part is a complete reproduction live of the album “OCTAVARIUM”! Of course, in the book, the discs are divided into the first part and the second part, and disc 2 is the entire "OCTAVARIUM" live performance album (disc 3 contains only the encore). ``OCTAVARIUM'', which is 100% original, is...it may be uncouth to write it all over and over again. After all, it is DREAM THEATER that also performed perfectly in “MADE IN JAPAN” and “THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON” which are only twice in the world, so they will show off the perfect live version. And the enthusiasm of the audience was amazing. Even at that time, he had reached the level of a veteran with 17 years since his debut, and his new songs were not always well-received. However, it seems that only passionate fans gathered at Shibuya AX, and as each song was repeated, the audience realized that this was a special live show, and the excitement grew. In addition to "METROPOLIS PT. 2" and "WHEN DREAM AND DAY UNITE," various album reproductions include covers of "MASTER OF PUPPETS," "THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST," "MADE IN JAPAN," "THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON," etc. DREAM THEATER has performed live shows and turned them into works. However, "OCTAVARIUM" is not left in the Official Bootleg series even though it has been reproduced. A masterpiece where you can fully enjoy such a rare live performance with the finest audience sound. The legendary super famous recording that disappeared after 30 discs has been revived with a new jacket!
