Mike Millard loved not only British groups like ZEP and the Rolling Stones, but also the Eagles. As proof of this, he not only recorded Don Henley's stage with "Santa Monica 1980: Mike Millard 1st Generation Cassette" but also nearly 10 years after the group disbanded. JEMS has released a number of excellent recordings of Henry's stage in 1990, including the recently released "Santa Monica 1990 1st Night: Mike Millard Master Tapes," but this time, the first recording of the stage the following year has appeared. At that time, Henry was on a world tour following the huge success of his album "The End of the Innocence." It lasted from 1989 to 1991. During this tour, Millard recorded at the LA Forum in 1990, which was the masterpiece "L.A. FORUM 1990 MIKE MILLARD MASTER TAPES," but more than a year has passed since then, and this recording captures the final stage of the tour, which was still ongoing. "L.A. FORUM 1990~" reminded us of the difficulty of securing a good position in the arena, reflecting Henry's popularity at the time, but Millard achieved a closer sound image than the previous time, as it was the second challenge of the same tour. It is only expected. As mentioned at the time of the release of "L.A. FORUM 1990~," the PA sound board of the Cincinnati performance was leaked for the 1991 leg of the tour. However, the lack of realism was difficult to handle, and it was difficult to feel the excitement of the time. That's where Millard really shines. His outstanding recording technique, which is unique to him, exploded again on this day, as the sound image is close but the surrounding excitement is not picked up more than necessary. It captures the enthusiasm of the time in a completely unobtrusive balance. What's even more noteworthy is the change in the set list. There are more Eagles classics than the previous year, and "Wasted Time" in particular is the first song Henry performed on stage after the Eagles broke up. The set list was originally centered on ballads, so it blends in well with the set list. On the other hand, the chorus that occurs in the finale "Desperado" is captured with an exquisite balance that is typical of Millard, and it is really nice to see Henry praise the audience for singing enthusiastically from the beginning, saying "Good!" In addition to these Eagles classics, the excitement in solo numbers such as the now nostalgic "New York Minute" and "The Boys Of Summer" is also tremendous, and Millard captured Henry's stage at the height of his popularity with the best sound quality. This is an audience album recorded by Millard that could become a new standard for Henry's 1991 tour, easily surpassing the leaked sound board mentioned earlier.
