At the end of the 1980s, Don Dokken broke up DOKKEN and formed his next band, DON DOKKEN. Due to a lawsuit with a former member, he was unable to use "DOKKEN" on his own, so he used his own name as the band name, but formed it as a new band, not a solo one. The members were John Norum, Peter Baltes of ACCEPT, Mikkey Dee, a former KING DIAMOND member who had been the key member of MOTORHEAD for many years, and Billy White of WATCHTOWER, a flagship of progressive metal, and other luxurious members, which became a big topic. This title is a coupling recording of the only performance in Japan in 1991, with sound and video. First, disc 1 & 2 contain a DVD of the live performance at the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall on March 11, the second day, which lasted for 96 minutes with a good audience shot for that time. This is a VHS master that was recently unearthed, and the shots taken from the stands directly in front of the stage, looking down on the stage, are stable and include close-ups throughout, making it an A-rank for the time. Furthermore, discs 3 and 4 contain a 104-minute CD of the live performance at Shibuya Public Hall on the following day, the 12th, recorded directly from the original audience master. The set is naturally centered around their only album, "UP FROM THE ASHES," and features 8 of the album's 11 songs, with some DOKKEN numbers inserted, and the fact that there are many numbers from the melodic "UNDER LOCK AND KEY" is a delight for Japanese fans. The band's twin guitars are particularly impressive. The technical Billy and the European melody of Norum are in contrast, but they also play more harmonies than on the album, and they play more than they do on the album. Also, the DOKKEN song that is particularly noteworthy is "It's Not Love," which inserts ACCEPT's "Balls To The Wall" in the middle to reproduce that heavy chorus.
