After joining Purple, he performed solo live in Vienna, Austria in 2006 and 2007. Both shows are recorded in full from high quality audience masters at soundboard level. The first half is the show on September 18, 2006. Don's opening solo features "Majestuso E' Virtouso", which is well known to Gary Moore fans. After that, we move to "Spotlight Kid", and Carl Sentance, who is the vocalist here, has just formed a combination with Don at this point, but with his husky powerful voice, he shows off his wonderful vocals on a variety of songs, from other Rainbow classics to the whitesnake of "Still Of The Night". Also, on this day, Austria's leading female violinist, Lydia Baich, participated as a special guest, and she has a lot of contact with Purple members, such as participating in a live performance with Ian Gillan's orchestra in March 2010. Here, they performed "Still Of The Night", Rainbow's instrumental number, and "Brandenburg Concert / Over The Rainbow", which was elegant, majestic, and wonderful. "Lost In Hollywood", which also featured Lydia's violin, was a particularly spectacular performance, and the last song, "Black Night", ended the show on a lively note. Discs 3 & 4 were recorded on January 27, 2007, four months after the previous live show. The opening song was Purple's new song at the time, "Rapture Of The Deep", and you should check out Carl's singing voice, which has a different personality from Gillan's, and the keyboard-based arrangement. After that, they performed a set that followed the previous year, with some songs in a different order, such as "Spotlight Kid", "Bad Girl", and "Still Of The Night". Local musicians such as guitarist Doka Z. Keitner and drummer Bernhard Wertz also joined in, and the band sound was stable, with the bassist Chris Childs (THUNDER) joining in to add to the sense of unity. Also of note is "Whiteout," a selection from Don's first solo album "K2" released in 1988. It's a hidden gem that's popular among fans, but it's rarely been performed live, so fans will be delighted. "Mr, Crowley," which closes the second half, also amplifies the majesty, and while the flow that follows follows a familiar pattern, the encore "Gimme Some Loving" weaves in a phrase from "Woman From Tokyo," making this a packed album that doesn't forget to entertain fans until the very end.
