Introducing a super-definitive board that sets the two early videos with the highest peak master. This work includes two famous West German programs. “ROCKPALAST” recorded on “February 16, 1979” and “ROCKPOP IN CONCERT” held on “December 19, 1980”. This is the multi-camera pro shot. Both are videos that are known as classics among the classics, but this work is the highest peak master set. Now, let's introduce each one individually. [DISC 1: February 16, 1979 “ROCKPALAST”] The first thing that appears is “ROCKPALAST”, a representative video from the four-member era when the Knopfler brothers were all together. At that time, they had just created the masterpiece "COMMUNIQUE". It was the 6th performance of the world tour that started 4 months before the release, and to be more specific, it was a time when they were excited about their first US tour, which was just a week away. Pro shots that record such shows have long been known as a standard, but this work is the highest peak. Like a digital rebroadcast master, the colors and outlines are super vivid and dazzling. Of course, there can be no white line noise or running kinks, and the vivid and detailed visual beauty, not only a single guitar string but also a single hair, standing blood vessels and muscle lines, is completely official quality without any questions asked. What is depicted in its visual beauty is the passionate performance of the precious original four-person era. The ensemble is jazzy and subdued, and the set is a special collection of famous songs from the early days. Let's organize the contents as well. DIRE STRAITS (7 songs) / Down To The Waterline / Six Blade Knife (★) / Water Of Love (★) / In The Gallery (★) / Lions / Sultans Of Swing / Wild West End (★) COMMUNIQUE (6 songs)・Once Upon A Time In The West/Lady Writer (★)/Single Handed Sailor (★)/ Follow Me Home (★)/News/Where Do You Think You're Going? (★) Others (2 songs)・What's The Matter, Baby? (★) / Eastbound Train (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be viewed on DISC 2. [DISC 2: December 19, 1980 “ROCKPOP IN CONCERT”] Next up is a symbolic image of the “MAKING MOVIES TOUR” era when David Knopfler left and Hal Lyndes & Alan Clark arrived. This is a multi-camera professional shot of Dortmund's "ROCKPOP IN CONCERT", which appeared about two months after the album was released. This is also a classic, but the visual beauty of this work is the ultimate. Disc 1 was also completely official, but it was also ironclad. The lighting isn't as flashy as you'd expect from an early 80's festival, but the members that stand out are detailed to the level of raw hair, and the shining metallic luster of the cymbals and microphone stand is beautiful, as is the glare of the spotlight. The clothes that appear on the photo are not only wrinkle-free, but even the fibers are clear. It is completely master quality, and rather than being as it was at that time, it is so impressive that you wonder, "Was it shot so beautifully at that time?" And what is depicted in this beautiful visual is a passionate performance that challenges the 1980s while being completely glamorous. Although the broadcast time is about 1 hour, it is rather short, but let's organize the set in the same way as DISC 1. DIRE STRAITS (3 songs)・Down To The Waterline/Lions/Sultans Of Swing COMMUNIQUE (2 songs)・Once Upon A Time In The West/News MAKING MOVIES (2 songs)・Tunnel Of Love (★)/Solid Rock (★ ) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be viewed on DISC 1. “ROCKPALAST” with the original lineup and “ROCKPOP IN CONCERT” with the 5-piece lineup. This is a definitive set that allows you to enjoy the best multi-camera pro shots, which can be said to be the two major images of the early days, with the highest peak master. It's a two-disc set that's on par with "COMMUNIQUE" and "MAKING MOVIES"...or even better.
