The superb soundboard masterpiece "DEFINITIVE SPOKANE" is being reprinted in the ultimate specification! This masterpiece appeared more than 10 years ago and is a masterpiece among masterpieces that took the world by storm. This is a stereo soundboard album of the "Spokane performance on July 24, 1984", which was a stage where "the strongest WHITESNAKE" and "the climax of DIO" competed. This show was broadcast on FM by WHITESNAKE and DIO, and has long been known as a classic. The Power Gate version is a legendary title that made full use of the broadcast master and reached its highest peak. Because of its splendor, it was loved by fans of both, and was sold out and discontinued. It had disappeared from the market for a long time. This work is the definitive version that polishes the legendary version with the latest remaster and also corrects the "flaws" discovered by the latest research. Let's take a closer look at the contents. Disc 1: DIO edition First up is DIO, who was the main act. At this time, they had just released their masterpiece, "THE LAST IN LINE". First, they appeared at the "Pinkpop Festival" in the Netherlands as a warm-up, and then started a coupling tour with WHITESNAKE. The Spokane performance of this work is the seventh performance of the entire "THE LAST IN LINE TOUR", which is an extremely early show. This work was made into a CD directly from the master broadcast master in our store. This master master is of mint quality and is truly the ultimate. This time, it has been polished with the latest remaster, but the main feature is "thorough noise removal". Of course, it has been upgraded, but you may not feel much difference in the sound quality itself. However, the content is different. The original release board accurately digitized the master broadcast master, and also included "Shame On The Night" and "Children Of The Sea". However, later research by maniacs revealed that this was fake. In fact, the broadcast station had secretly mixed in the take of the "Fresno performance on July 28, 1983". Of course, the Fresno performance is also available as a long version, so it has been removed from this work. It has been made into a live album that allows you to focus only on the Spokane performance. And the show is wonderful all the way. In fact, this Spokane performance is one of the best of "THE LAST IN LINE TOUR". The Pinkpop Festival soundboard was made official in the deluxe edition of "THE LAST IN LINE", but it is incomparable in both quality and quantity to that. There were even discussions from maniacs, such as "Why not Spokane?", "Wendy doesn't understand at all", "Spokane will be released separately!?" However, as you know, there are no rumors of Spokane being fully official up to now... Furthermore, the contents of the show and the highlights are plenty. The freshest thing is the opening with "We Rock". Although it is the first song of "THE LAST IN LINE", it only served as pole position at the beginning of the tour, and it is soon replaced by "Stand Up And Shout". It's rare in the entire history of DIO... or rather, it's a precious scene with only one sound board. Another precious one is "Eat Your Heart Out". This was also a number only at the beginning of the tour, and it was never revived in later years. It's a super valuable take that is only available in this work. There is one more song to enjoy after the live performance. A radio commercial for Budweiser is included. In fact, this is a parody of DIO's "Rainbow In The Dark". Broadcast masters often also include commercials, and local stations play the records. This is also a "treasure" that was reprinted from the same master. Disc 2: WHITESNAKE edition + DIO bonus Instead, disc 2 is the WHITESNAKE edition, which was a support act. It is a superb sound board from the "four-person" era of Coverdale/Sykes/Cosey/Murray. This is also a classic recording that has been loved as the "best sound of the Sykes era" along with the radio broadcast version of ROCK IN RIO "ROCK IN RIO '85 (Langley-299)". Of course, like the DIO version on Disc 1, the best master and latest remaster have achieved the highest peak sound. It's a short stage only for the opening act, but this is full. In the first place, most of their performances since they became a "four-person group" have been support performances, and the only full-scale shows are in Japan and "ROCK IN RIO '85". In that short time, there is a tremendous passion condensed that even DIO in his prime is hazy. In fact, because this work is DIO and WHITESNAKE, its awesomeness is multiplied many times. David Coverdale, former DEEP PURPLE, and Ronnie James Dio, former RAINBOW. Both are not only outstanding singers of passion, but also people who were discovered by Ritchie Blackmore. And they were both people who were passionate about surpassing their old home. This work is a battle between the best of the two. The two of them also praise each other's singing ability, and there seems to have been no rivalry between the two bands (Ronnie and Cozy may have had some), but their healthy rivalry is exposed in their full-power singing. They are also good rivals on guitar. Both Vivian Campbell and John Sykes look up to Gary Moore as their mentor. I don't think anyone would have thought that Viv would join WHITESNAKE after that, but the passion that fuels his ambition as a new-age hero sparks even more vividly. In addition, disc 2 is a delicious bonus. It also includes 5 songs from the broadcast of DIO's "October 1, 1985 New Orleans performance" + an interview. The "SACRED HEART TOUR" sound board from the Vivian era is very valuable, and only this work has been found, along with "SUPER ROCK'85 IN JAPAN" from the Japan performance and "INTERMISSION" from the San Diego performance. Moreover, "SUPER ROCK'85 IN JAPAN" was the tour premiere and was not in good condition, and "INTERMISSION" was not purely from the Vivian era with Craig's overdubs. Even with only five songs, it is a superb sound board that becomes a "treasure". In addition, the improvement of these five songs by remastering is remarkable. It has become much more vivid, and you will feel the effect more than the originally ironclad Spokane. Although there are many sound boards, the opening of "We Rock" and "Eat Your Heart Out" that can only be enjoyed in this work are also super valuable DIO edition. The sound board itself is valuable even in the Sykes era, and the WHITESNAKE edition boasts special quality. Not only did the two heroes with a deep connection actually share the same stage, but it was also the pinnacle of each. This is a great album where you can enjoy such a precious coupling concert on an official sound board. It is the highest peak of rare album that has been analyzed and brushed up in detail.
