The "HOLY DIVER TOUR" was a major turning point in Ronnie James Dio's life. The official footage, which is the apex of the professional shot, has been revived with the highest quality ever. This work contains a multi-camera professional shot of the "December 4, 1983 Utrecht performance (Netherlands)". It is a traditional official video released under titles such as "LIVE '83", "Reincarnation", and "LIVE IN CONCERT". In 2005, it was officially released as a part of "WE ROCK", but for some reason "Drums Solo" and the highlight "Heaven And Hell" were cut. Moreover, "WE ROCK" is now out of production, and the only way to find it is to look for a used copy. This work is a DVD of such an unfortunate famous video at the highest level. Of course, instead of "WE ROCK" with the cut, we used the Japanese version laser disc released in the 1980s. In fact, this work was only released as a laser disc in Japan. In 1984, when this work was released, "home live videos" were a novelty, but Japan was the only country where they had both taken root and laser discs had become widespread. After that, DIO released footage of each tour, but "LIVE '83" was forgotten, and as a result, the best footage was left to sleep quietly only in Japanese laser discs. This work is a detailed DVD version of the Japanese laser disc, which was made from a mint quality version. The quality is truly the "highest peak in history," and it is comparable to the official DVD "WE ROCK"...or rather, the quality is so similar that you might think, "Did the official version come from a laser disc?!" Of course, even though the quality is close, this work is a laser disc, and the cut "Drums Solo" and "Heaven And Hell" are also included. This is surprisingly big. As you know, DIO's live performances are often performed in a medley style, but in 1983, "Holy Diver / Drum Solo / Heaven And Hell" was a huge suite of songs. "WE ROCK" not only had fewer songs, but also cut off this medley, but this work allows you to experience the big song as it is in the original. The wonderful thing about "1983" that is revived with such quality... As I have written many times, "Ronnie in 1983" is simply special. Since it is the debut of the leader band, it is natural that they are full of spirit, but the awesomeness is more intense than it looks from the sidelines. After all, at that time, Ronnie and Wendy double mortgaged their house to raise the tour expenses for the production of "HOLY DIVER", and they were literally in a desperate situation. Let's take a look at the outline of the "HOLY DIVER TOUR" here. "HOLY DIVER" released on May 25, 1983: July 23, 1983 - August 12, 1983: North America #1 (11 performances) August 20, 1983: MONSTERS OF ROCK '83 (UK) October 1-25, 1983: North America #2 (23 performances) October 30, 1983 - December 6, 1983: Europe (25 performances) ←★Here★ December 10, 1983 - January 7, 1984: North America #3 (18 performances) They toured the world with 78 performances. This is not a large number of performances in the history of DIO. It is a scale that tells the story of DIO's kickoff, when they were trying to climb up with their own hands without any track record or backing from a major company. And this work is the latter period of the "HOLY DIVER TOUR", when they began to feel not only their spirit but also their success. That sense of fulfillment is also reflected in his singing, and while he has a glossy and flexible voice, he also has a demon-like dot. According to Ronnie himself, he became a professional with ELF, learned about the world with RAINBOW, and found success and his own music with BLACK SABBATH. In this film, he is the last to climb the ladder of success. In the subsequent "THE LAST IN LINE TOUR", DIO even exudes dignity as a champion who protects his success, but this film is Ronnie James Dio who fights passionately as a "challenger". He is different from RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, and later DIO, and he only exists in "1983". And this film is the only official video that records that appearance, and the highest version ever. It is not just a wonderful live video, but a monumental video that is unique in Ronnie's life. There was only one album that was completely reproduced in his lifetime. It was not "RISING" or "HEAVEN AND HELL", but only "HOLY DIVER". This work is the culmination of live footage that has the same "soul" as such a special album. The determination to take on the world, the feeling of being welcomed by the world, the success that was grabbed with the back against the wall... the joy is engraved in the expression and singing voice in the official footage.
