Last year, the "GMan" collection caused a whirlwind in the collector world with a series of famous HR/HM recordings. Now, the long-awaited new work, a masterpiece live album by DIO from the golden age, is here. This work is recorded in the "September 1, 1984 Karlsruhe performance". It is a masterpiece audience recording recorded at the West German edition of "MONSTERS OF ROCK", which evolved from a British festival to a festival tour throughout Europe. Speaking of DIO at that time, it was right in the middle of their heyday when they sent out the masterpiece "THE LAST IN LINE". First, let's look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 1984 January 4-7: North America #1 (3 shows) June 11: Appearance at PINKPOP FESTIVAL (July 2nd release of "THE LAST IN LINE") July 17-August 25: North America #2 (32 shows) *Official video August 30-October 30: Europe (44 shows) *Here November 4-December 31: North America #3a (30 shows) 1985 January 2-27: North America #3b (18 shows) August 10: First visit to Japan (1 show) (August 13th release of "SACRED HEART") August 10-December 31 (80 shows) This is the journey of DIO in 1984/1985, the peak of his career. "North America #1" was the final date of the "HOLY DIVER Tour", after which "THE LAST IN LINE" was produced and released. They once again embarked on a large-scale world tour. The Karlsruhe performance of this work was the second performance of the "European" leg. Speaking of the symbol of "THE LAST IN LINE Tour", the official video "A SPECIAL FROM THE SPECTRUM" also comes to mind, but this work was about a week later. This work, which vacuum-packs such a show, is a powerful and tight masterpiece. This show has been introduced as part of the 5-disc masterpiece "MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 1984 VOL.1", but this work is the latest collection just released by "GMan", a different recording from that. "GMan" and Taper, who became a hot topic last year with a series of German masterpieces from the 1980s. A variety of collections have appeared, including Ozzy, White Snake, KISS, MSG, UFO, etc., but the most popular are the masterpieces such as Gary Moore's "MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984", MOTLEY CRUE's "MONSTERS OF ROCK NUREMBERG 1984", and ACCEPT's "MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984". As you can see from the title, Mr. "GMan" is also known as the "master of 1984 MOR". And this work is the latest in the "1984 MOR Collection". Although it is not so close that you would mistake it for a sound board, it does not feel far away. The tightness of the outdoor venue with zero echoes is wonderful, and the sound emitted by the on-site PA is recorded directly. The performance and singing voice are so clear that they reach even the subtleties of the subtleties without clouding, and even the electromagnetic noise of "zee" leaking from the amplifier during quiet songs is picked up by the country name. Such a tight sound depicts the full show of "THE LAST IN LINE Tour", which features all of Ronnie's representative songs throughout his life. As mentioned above, it is one week after the official video "A SPECIAL FROM THE SPECTRUM", so let's organize it by comparing it. DIO (7 songs) ・ Flame of Passion: Stand Up And Shout / Holy Diver / Rainbow In The Dark ・ Last In Line: One Night In The City (★) / Mystery / Egypt (The Chains Are On) / The Last In Line Others (4 songs) ・ Rainbow: Man On The Silver Mountain (★) / Long Live Rock 'n' Roll (★) ・ Black Sabbath: Heaven And Hell / The Mob Rules *Note: The "★" mark indicates a song that could not be heard in the official video "A SPECIAL FROM THE SPECTRUM". ... and it looks like this. Although the official video was not fully recorded, you can also enjoy plenty of RAINBOW medleys and the relatively rare "One Night In The City". Furthermore, "Mystery" and "Egypt (The Chains Are On)" are delicious because they have not yet been decided as representative songs. And above all, the glorious mood that is unique to the heyday is wonderful. On the "HOLY DIVER Tour", Ronnie was pushing with an intense singing voice that was also in the Sabbath era, but on the "THE LAST IN LINE Tour", it was a complete change. Was it the leeway born from success, or the expression of joy? The vocalization that sings loudly feels more majestic than aggressive, and it scales up even further. It is a dignified show like a sumo wrestler. RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, and the first two albums of DIO... Ronnie continued to sing the masterpieces up to this point in his life. The repertoire after this was merely a "seasoning agent". What flows out of this work is a full show that plays the repertoire of "THE LAST IN LINE" as a fresh new song. A new masterpiece that lets you enjoy the tight sound of a big stage festival, which was rare even in its heyday. A newly excavated audience recording of the West German version of MOR's "September 1, 1984 Karlsruhe performance." A collection by Mr. GMan that is different from the 5-disc set "MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 1984 VOL.1," this is a truly powerful and tight recording. The tightness of the outdoor venue with zero echoes is wonderful, and the sound emitted by the on-site PA is directly recorded. You can experience the full show with repertoires such as "One Night In The City," "Mystery," and "Egypt (The Chains Are On)" that were blown up by the tension of MOR's big stage.
