Following the huge success of "PYROMANIA," DEF LEPPARD's first visit to Japan has finally come true. The first ever complete album is now available, the culmination of their efforts. This work includes the performance at Nakano Sun Plaza on January 26, 1984. This week, the live album "OSAKA 1984," which also recorded their first visit to Japan, will also be released at the same time. First, let's check the positions of both works in the schedule for their first visit to Japan. January 24: Shibuya Public Hall January 25: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall "OSAKA 1984" January 26: Nakano Sun Plaza [This work] That's a total of three performances. It was a three-day live performance traveling between Tokyo and Osaka, and this Nakano Sun Plaza performance is the final day of that. This show has been archived in the past with masterpieces such as "ROCK TILL WE DROP" and "FIRE BRIGADE," but this work is a completely different recording. It is a superb audience recording that has finally appeared and will be permanently preserved, surpassing those two works. In fact, the sound of this work is phenomenal. It is a work by the same famous recordist as the simultaneously released "OSAKA 1984", and it has been made into a CD directly from the original cassette. It is a wonderful masterpiece that boasts the ultimate freshness. In addition to its freshness, the recording itself is also extremely wonderful. In fact, it is a lively audience recording with a lot of enthusiasm, but the direct feeling that almost no echo is felt in the venue is tremendous, and even the slightest sound is crystal clear, so the details of the performance and singing voice are not clouded at all. It is even more vivid than "OSAKA 1984" as well as the two previous Nakano Sun Plaza works. On the other hand, in fact, it is slightly more breathed in by the audience than "OSAKA 1984", but that is also the real atmosphere of the first visit to Japan. Is it "OSAKA 1984" where you can concentrate on the performance, or is it this work that synchronizes with "1984" with a super clear sound? This depends on your preference, but in any case, the sound of this work is sure to be the "highest peak of the first visit to Japan". In addition to such a sound, this work is the first complete recording. Previous first visit live albums to Japan have cuts somewhere due to tape changes, etc. This newly excavated master also had a few seconds of cuts in "Rock Of Ages", but that was complemented by "ROCK TILL WE DROP". It was the first live album where you can enjoy all the songs seamlessly without any missing parts. However, no matter how good the sound is and how there are no missing parts, it cannot be declared a "masterpiece". This work is also a masterpiece of the show itself, sealed with that quality. The set is the same as Osaka, but the important thing is the position of the show. As mentioned above, this work was the last day in Japan, but the schedule was "Tokyo → Osaka → Tokyo". Once it returned to Tokyo, which was a great success, there was no anxiety from the beginning of the show. Rather than gradually realizing it, they are already filled with the feeling and confidence of having achieved great success in Asia for the first time since the start of the show. Furthermore, the condition of the band is also in top form. To help you understand this, let's introduce the whole world tour here. [1983] ・February 9th - March 15th: Europe #1 (25 performances) ・March 18th - September 20th: North America (115 performances) ・October 7th - December 18th: Europe #2 (29 performances) [1984] ・January 24th - 26th: Japan (3 performances) ←★Here★ ・January 29th - February 7th: Australia / Thailand (4 performances) This is the whole picture of "PYROMANIA WORLD TOUR 1983-1984". In this way, the main tour of Europe / North America was completed in 1983, and the Japan and Australia performances were in a special position. I'm not tired because I took a full month off over the New Year holidays, but I need a few more performances to get back into the swing of things when the tour restarts. It's generally said to be 5-6 performances, but the young band is quick to recover. This is the third performance after the restart, and they're showing off their incredible full throttle and full power. It's a show that's just like a sample of a passionate performance. In addition to the sound quality and length, it's a "masterpiece" that's the pinnacle of the show. This is a rare masterpiece live album from DEF LEPPARD's first visit to Japan... No, it's a rare masterpiece live album in the entire history of DEF LEPPARD's visit to Japan.
