Deep Purple's live performance at the Glasgow Green Playhouse on September 24th, midway through their fall 1971 UK tour after the release of "Fireball", has been decided to be released. In July 1971, PURPLE finally released "Fireball" after a long period of work. As the first step in the promotion, the band appeared on the German music program "Beat Club" in early September. They then toured the UK for a total of 13 shows, from the Portsmouth performance on September 13th to the Southampton performance on October 11th. This work is a recording of the Glasgow performance on September 24th, midway through the tour, recorded from the audience master provided by an overseas collector. This recording is already known among traders, but in this work, the high pitch has been adjusted normally and the muddy and cloudy sound has been removed as much as possible, making it an upgraded version that has been carefully remastered. As you can see from the simultaneous release of "BRISTOL 1971," this fall '71 UK tour featured rare songs and early versions of famous songs, making it one of the most eye-catching setlists of the second DEEP PURPLE live shows. Although the lyrics of "Highway Star" are different from those on the album, Gillan's unrestrained and rough singing is impressive. John's solo is also well-captured in the middle of the song, and the difference in composition from the finished version can be confirmed. The following "Strange Kind Of Woman" is a passionate performance that lasts over 11 minutes. Richie and Gillan also have a long exchange, and you can see that the fans at the venue are cheering loudly for their excellent playing. The third song, "No No No," is a major highlight of this live show. The song starts with the cheers of the excited audience in the background, and the band's performance is very groovy, with Gillan showing off his powerful vocals. The second half of the show featured "The Mule" featuring Pace's drum solo, and "Lazy" with John's organ resounding from the intro, which was already impressive as it was directly connected to the set after the release of "MACHINE HEAD". "Fireball", which was featured at the end of the main set, was a powerful performance that seemed to explode as the band came together. The cheers of the audience calling for an encore after the performance were tremendous, which seems to tell us how fulfilling the performance that day was. The last song was the familiar "Lucille"! The ending, which involved the entire venue, was a festival that knocked out the listeners! Although the overall clarity was a little compromised, the excitement and excitement that permeated the entire show, and the incandescent performance were unique to the second period of PURPLE. There are few types of sound sources currently confirmed for this fall '71 UK tour, so the appearance of this work will be a delight for enthusiasts.
