42 years after their legendary first visit to Japan, their 2014 visit to Japan produced their third "made in Japan" live album "...TO THE RISING SUN (IN TOKYO)". The definitive edition, vacuum-packed 100% of the footage, has been decided to be released. This work contains the "April 10, 2014: Orix Theater" performance and the "April 12: Nippon Budokan" performance. Both performances were directly recorded using the original masters handed over directly from the recording artist. This is a masterpiece recording that has a superb sound that is comparable to official works, but also has a vivid experience that you can never get from official products. First, let's check the show's position from the schedule three years ago. ・April 9: Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater ・April 10: Orix Theater [Disc 1-2] ・April 12: Nippon Budokan [Disc 3-4] [Disc 1-2: Orix Theater] First, we will introduce the "Osaka Edition". The "Tokyo Edition" described below has become an official work, and this is the life of this work. This is a two-disc set that contains a complete recording of the live performance at the "Orix Theater" where the event took place. The venue was the former Osaka Welfare Pension Hall. In 1973, the second stage of PURPLE performed its final stage, which is a deep connection. The master recorded in such an Osaka location is the work of a master who has been making a series of famous recordings in Kansai. Our shop has also received great reviews for many masterpieces, such as Michael Schenker's "BRIDGE THE GAP IN OSAKA" and VAN HALEN's "A DEFINITIVE KIND OF OSAKA". This work is a special masterpiece even in such a master collection. The miraculous audience sound captures the live performance. This recording was recorded from the fourth row from the stage, and the direct feeling and clarity are wonderful because of its excellent position. The powerful sound and rich atmosphere with vivid left and right stereo feeling are just like a live venue. The bass, which tends to be crushed in audience recordings, can be heard clearly, one note at a time. Of course, the bass is just one example, and the separation of all instruments and notes is wonderful. The transparent "Contact Lost", the majestic "Perfect Strangers", the harmonious yet hot "Smoke On The Water" and "Black Night"... It is a wonderful sound world that goes beyond the common sense of customer records and makes even official audiences want to say it. [Disc 3-4: Nippon Budokan] Next is Nippon Budokan, which was also an official work. Osaka was also an important place for the band, but Nippon Budokan has a different "weight". It has been the site of many legends, starting with "LIVE IN JAPAN", but in fact it has been about 18 years since they returned to Nippon Budokan. The venue was filled with an unusual enthusiasm from veteran enthusiasts to the younger generation to experience "living witness" at the "legendary site". This work is a superb recording that vacuum-packed such a scene. The position is the 6th row of A2 block, and the sound from the ceiling-hanging speaker is captured without any obstruction. The direct feeling is overwhelming. The Osaka performance (Disc 1-2) is a wide spread and a well-balanced sound with elegance, but this one focuses on the musical tones, and is almost as straight as a sound board. In particular, Steve Morse's guitar and Ian Gillan's vocals are so robust and on-sounding that you might think, "Maybe it's a matrix with IEM?" Moreover, despite the powerful sound, it is ideally equipped with the most detailed and realistic feeling. Songs such as "Into The Fire" and "Hard Lovin' Man" are hard to the end, and in "Lazy", which shows off the unfading performance ability, the virtuosity and ensemble are extremely vivid. The show depicted with such a sound is an expanded version of "...TO THE RISING SUN (IN TOKYO)" 100% of the original. Gillan, with his powerful and expansive vocals, Steve Morse, who has been with the band for 20 years, and the rhythm section of Ian Paice and Roger Glover, who are in their prime... the performance that seems to erupt from the entire band is superb. The show is also a veteran Yokozuna sumo. The intro "Mars" and the new song "Apres Vous" opened dramatically, and then the hard "Into The Fire" and "Hard Lovin' Man" from the masterpiece "IN ROCK" were fired up at once. Furthermore, "Strange Kind Of Woman" brings a peaceful and fun mood, and time warps the venue. On the other hand, in the recent numbers from the new song "Vincent Price" to "Uncommon Man" and "Above And Beyond", Steve and Don Airey have a presence that is not "substitute for their predecessors". Don adds a touch of glamour to each song with his brilliant and colorful sound, and Steve dominates the venue with his fast but emotional phrases. They also show off their virtuosity in "Contact Lost" and "The Well-Dressed Guitar," but unlike ordinary technical artists, they are full of emotion. There are plenty of highlights in the second half of the live performance. From "Lazy," where the ensemble is incandescent, to the new song "Hell To Pay," which is catchy and gets the crowd excited with its clever combination, it's full of fun. The flow from Don's solo to "Perfect Strangers" is a "promise," but it's thrilling. After "Space Truckin'," the band's performance and the audience's excitement reach their peak, and they burn out with "Smoke On The Water" and the encore "Hush" and "Black Night"! At the time, their 2014 Japan tour was highly praised, with people saying, "DEEP PURPLE is amazing after all." They showed young fans "why they are legendary," and showed veteran enthusiasts "the same PURPLE-ness." This work is a real album that captures the truth of the "living legend" as it is. The official site of the Nippon Budokan, the site of Osaka that cannot be heard officially. The finest masterpiece that emits the fragrant air from the speakers. Even if there is "LIVE IN JAPAN" ... No, the audience recording of the first visit to Japan is wonderful because the great name board reigns. In the same way, this work shines because the official work remains, allowing you to witness "the other side". It is a four-disc set that embodies the ideal of the audience that you want to taste now.
