DEEP PURPLE in 2016, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the third try and made their 15th visit to Japan. Two CDs of superb original recordings that permanently preserve the glorious atmosphere have been decided to be released. This work is engraved with the performance of "May 16, 2016: Osaka Festival Hall". It is a superb audience recording. In terms of studio works, this was the "NOW WHAT?!" era, but there were two visits to Japan on this tour (2014/2016). It's a good opportunity, so let's organize the two visits together by schedule. 2014, April 9: Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater *April 10: "LIVE IN JAPAN 2014 (Osaka)" *April 12: "LIVE IN JAPAN 2014 (Budokan)" & official release 2016, May 9: Sapporo Nitori Bunka Hall, May 10: Hakodate Civic Hall, May 12: Sendai Sun Plaza Hall, May 13: Koriyama Civic Cultural Center *May 15: "LIVE IN JAPAN 2014 (Budokan)" *May 16: Osaka Festival Hall ←★This release★, May 18: Nagoya Nippon Tokushu Togyo Civic Hall *Note: Only representative works on each day. That's 3 shows + 7 shows = a total of 10 shows. The 2014 Nippon Budokan performance became the press masterpiece "LIVE IN JAPAN 2014 (part of)", and is also well known as the official live release "...TO THE RISING SUN (In Tokyo)". This work was the sixth performance of the 2016 edition, two years later. This work, which vacuum-packs such a show, is a masterpiece of a truly superb sound. The one who made it into a thing was the master "Western Japan's Strongest Taper", who is familiar to us at our store, but it is a superb sound that even made the master say "my ideal itself". In fact, the master's "ideal" is a solitary realm. It is a natural dimension that each range and each instrument stands out as clearly as a sound board, and each sound is extremely stable and glossy... It is a natural dimension. It builds the whole with an exquisite balance. The "balance" mentioned here does not only mean a stereo sense or a high or low tone, but also a very thick direct feeling and a sense of the field, clarity and sound pressure, delicacy and power, beauty and vividness, and a three-dimensional sense... Every point you can think of is established in an exquisite balance like standing on a blade. Moreover, it runs through the whole story with a sense of stability that does not move at all. The acoustics of the Osaka Festival Hall, which is said to have been built by God, play a part in the vivid and powerful sound of the performance. The subtle yet detailed sound brings out the beauty of the sound to the maximum, and further enhances each other. "It's like an IEMs matrix, right? But this is a pure audience," laughed Mr. "Strongest", but that's ridiculous. No matter how finely you mix it, you can't get this natural sound or atmosphere just by intercepting it. It's a state of sound that is resistant to any mixing or equalization. The sound that is depicted with such a divine sound is the full show of the 2016 edition, which is different from the official "...TO THE RISING SUN (In Tokyo)". The sets are similar but different, so let's organize them by comparing them. Steve Morse era (5 songs) Now What?!: Vincent Price/Uncommon Man/Hell To Pay Others: Contact Lost/The Well-Dressed Guitar Classics (12 songs) Fireball: Strange Kind Of Woman/The Mule/Demon's Eye (★★) Machine Head: Highway Star (★)/Lazy/Space Truckin'/Smoke On The Water Others: Bloodsucker (★★)/Hard Lovin' Man/Perfect Strangers/Hush/Black Night *Note: Songs marked with "★" are not available on the official album "...TO THE RISING SUN (In Tokyo)". In particular, songs marked with "★★" are not available on "FROM THE SETTING SUN... (In Wacken)". ...And so on. "...TO THE RISING SUN" started with an unexpected opening of "Après Vous", but in this 2016 work, "Highway Star" is safely (?) revived. The classics have been increased since then, and precious "Demon's Eye" and "Bloodsucker" are performed. And the performance that spells out such a set is also majestic. The 2016 visit to Japan was the very beginning of the resumed world tour, and the performance was stiff at the beginning of the Japan tour, but in Osaka, where they performed every day, they were relaxed and not tired at all. The flexible ensemble flexibly dominates the space and performs a top-notch performance. The venue, the recorder, the band... it's a live album because everything came together. The transcendent sound that made the "strongest" who has made countless masterpieces and masterpieces say it was "ideal". It is no exaggeration to say that this work is the "2016 version of TO THE RISING SUN". A cultural heritage album that stands on such a level. The masterpiece of the 2016 visit to Japan is released on 2 CDs. It is a famous recording of a superb sound that the master "Western Japan's Strongest Taper" called "the ideal finish", and it is no exaggeration to say that it is the "2016 version of TO THE RISING SUN".
