DEEP PURPLE has finally been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The latest audience album from the final day of their long-running “NOW WHAT? WORLD TOUR 2013-2015” is now available. The tour that started in February 2013 lasted for 2 years and 10 months, and has become so long that it is difficult to call "NOW WHAT?" a new work. The final day was the “London performance on December 3, 2015” in his home country of England. The venue is the "London O2 Arena", which was also the venue for LED ZEPPELIN's "CELEBRATION DAY". In fact, even in the long "NOW WHAT? WORLD TOUR", the only live performance held in their home country until then was the 5th performance in October 2013. They had been touring Europe carefully until just before the live performance of this work, and on the final day they chose a large venue for only one time, the first time in two years. The recording artist who attended and recorded the memorable final performance was a British-based taper who is familiar to our store. I apologize for the familiar introduction, but he is a recording artist who continues to convey the "current British rock" to far away Japan, and has recorded countless masterpieces such as Paul McCartney, THE ROLLING STONES, Dave Gilmour, U2, etc. He is a master who makes recording his thing. The other day, the titles THE SWEET, STEVE HARLEY & COCKNEY REBEL, and AVERAGE WHITE BAND & KOKOMO received great acclaim. The master sound is characterized by a warm tone made with DAT recording, and this time is no exception to that. After all, "London O2 Arena" is a large venue with a capacity of 20,000 people. It would be no surprise if there was a sense of distance, but the musical tones of this work have a thick core and seem to come closer with a wonderful direct feeling. It may have a slightly rounded feel, but it is the type that allows you to feel the musical sound itself close to you. The final performance, marked by that sound, seemed to have an unusual mood. Due to the Paris terrorist attacks, body checks are quite strict and even airport scanners have been introduced. The recording took place under what the master describes as ``extra security checks''. The show started with Holst's "Mars," which enveloped the venue, changing the strict mood of the venue into a profound feeling. Two songs that could not be heard in the Japanese performance are about to start: “Highway Star”, which runs smoothly, and “Bloodsucker”, which quickly falls into an avalanche. Furthermore, it is a truly delicious opening in which famous songs such as “Hard Lovin Man” and “Strange Kind Of Woman” pop out one after another with a word of MC in between. In the middle of the show, you can listen carefully to the new and old repertoire and solos of each person, but this is where a special guest appears because it is a performance in Japan. Stephen Bentley Crane is a violinist who has played with David Byrne and Uli Jon Roth. He intertwines phrases with Don Airey's rolling organ and launches into "Lazy." The compatibility between the violin solo heard there and the DEEP PURPLE sound is really good. You'll want to see the violin soloist perform all the songs live. In addition, there is another special guest in this work. RIVAL SONS guitarist Scott Holliday joins in on “Smoke On The Water,” which gets exciting at the end of the show. RIVAL SONS is an American band, but they were the opening act for DEEP PURPLE that day. By this time, the strict mood that had been present at the beginning of the concert had disappeared. The venue was filled with a festive atmosphere as guests from young bands were welcomed, and the open feeling of the final performance, as well as the relaxed atmosphere that could only be expected from a long-awaited performance in their home country, prevailed. The riff, which is familiar to anyone who knows rock, roars out, and the chorus of 20,000 people that fills the "London O2 Arena" sings the chorus on a huge scale. It is a spectacle that can only be achieved by this work, where wonderful sound and the realism of the audience recording coexist. A special performance in his home country of England, filled with a celebratory mood on the final day of a long world tour. This is a live album with a freshness that can only be achieved by the original master who has absorbed plenty of that mood at the scene. Approximately two weeks after this day, it has been decided that he will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and his next steps have not yet been announced. Will they start working on their next studio album, or will they pursue a new concept project or tour? Before that, who will attend the Hall of Fame induction ceremony? Expectations are high as we see the unexpected sight of Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan standing side by side. Now that the Purple Family has suddenly attracted attention, this is the latest recording from the original family that you want to enjoy. I don't know when the "next time" will be. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the final performance of the tour! Live at the O2 Arena, London, UK 3rd December 2015 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1(60:58) 1.
