From the beginning of DEEP PURPLE's 1991 "SLAVES AND MASTERS" tour, the live performance in Budapest, Hungary on February 5th will be released on DVD using the master broadcast on local TV! The live video of the lineup including Joe Lynn Turner is famous for the first tour in Prague, Czech Republic, but this video is an amazing professional shot that surpasses that. This work includes not only the main Budapest performance but also bonus footage (of course, professional shots too!), making it a total of 90 minutes that is a must-see for all Richie fans! DEEP PURPLE, who welcomed Joe Lynn Turner as a new vocalist to replace Ian Gillan, completed ``SLAVES AND MASTERS'' after many hardships. We will begin performing live in continental Europe from the end of January 1991. This tour will start in Eastern Europe, serving as a warm-up. The first day of the show in Ostrava, Czech Republic, which took place on January 29th, recorded the entire live performance of local TV songs, and this pro shot had titles such as "FIRST SLAVES", and fans were asking for the sixth generation of PURPLE. (In addition, there is a theory that the first day of the tour is February 4th, but according to the verification of overseas enthusiasts, it seems that the local TV broadcast of the Ostrava performance was February 4th). As represented by the Ostrava performance mentioned above, PURPLE's Eastern European tour was actively filming local TV songs. The same goes for the band's Budapest, Hungary show on February 5th, the second show of the tour, and Zagreb, Croatia's show on February 6th, the third day of the tour, and the live performance (albeit incomplete) was aired. It had been. In this work, that valuable professional shot is converted into a DVD with an excellent master! This work, which contains approximately 60 minutes of the Budapest performance and approximately 30 minutes of footage from Zagreb (including interviews with Joe and Roger), is a live performance representative of the ``SLAVES AND MASTERS'' tour, along with the classic ``FIRST SLAVES''. It will be positioned as a video! The main Budapest performance is recorded from the second song of the show, “Black Night.” The original master was made over 20 years ago (from the former Communist bloc), so the color tones were a little off in some scenes. Still, the freshness and quality of the image is high, especially the sharpness and coloring clearly exceed the Ostrava performance. In addition, the image quality of this work has been improved during the authoring stage (as long as it does not look unnatural), and the sound has been remastered to further improve its impact and listenability. The camera work is excellent, and fans can fully enjoy the spectacular live show that is typical of multi-camera professional shots. The highlights of the first half are ``Fire In The Basement,'' which has an impressive colorful lighting, and ``King Of Dreams,'' which has an urban and fantastical mood. In addition to Richie's guitar playing and Joe's lively performance, there are many points that can only be found in an excellent video, such as John and Roger showing their dandy appearance and skillful technique, and Pace's bass drum decorated with the tricolor of the Hungarian flag. are scattered throughout. “Love Conquers All” is led by the solemn intro played by John, and the sight of Joe playing the guitar and singing is also a must-see. The urgent solo melody spun by Ritchie is also beautiful, and I feel the charm unique to the sixth generation of PURPLE, which Ian Gillan would not be able to achieve. The second half of the live, starting with "Difficult To Cure", was a series of famous songs and performances, including "Knockin' At Your Back Door", which gained new life after gaining Joe, "Lazy" and "Highway Star". Joe sings every song with a masterful voice, as if it were his own song. “Highway Star” in particular is a great listen. At that time, Joe was confident about this song, saying, ``If we re-record it, it will be a hit again. The band's play is different from before.''It is a performance that was as confident as it was. Some of the live performances on this day are also known as full-length versions of audience recordings. On the other hand, this video is a little shorter at 60 minutes, but the high image quality and excellent shots will definitely give fans a sense of satisfaction. Furthermore, using the TV broadcast master from the performance in Zagreb, Croatia on the 6th the next day, we have added two songs, “Burn” and “Black Night”, and an interview with Joe and Roger. These two songs are one-camera shots from slightly behind the right side of the stage, and although the image and sound quality are a little inferior to Budapest, you can enjoy it with a reasonable sense of stability. In particular, “Burn” is missing from the main Budapest performance, so fans will be happy. Both the Budapest and Zagreb performances included in this work are valuable professional shots that were not even known to have been broadcast. Together with "FIRST SLAVES", which includes the previous performance in Ostrava, Czech Republic, fans will be able to fully enjoy the charm of the '91 live show! A new standard of "SLAVES AND MASTERS" tour videos is here, with an original menu exclusive to this work. This is a must-have DVD for Richie fans, and we hope you'll add it to your collection!
