From the 7th DEEP PURPLE's 13-performance Germany tour in 1993, the "BATTLE OVER GERMANY" series is a package of the officially announced audience sound sources of 12 performances excluding Stuttgart divided into 4 parts. It caused a huge buzz among fans, and showed the hype as all volumes from "Vol. 1" to "Vol. 4" were sold out immediately after their release. Even after the series is sold out, we have received many requests for its reappearance, and at the same time, we have also received many inquiries from fans asking, ``Will you release the Stuttgart recordings?'' This time, in response to that request, to commemorate the release of the same '93 tour sound source "BATTLE MASTER", we have released the audience sound source of the Stuttgart performance on October 16, '93, which was not included in the "BATTLE OVER GERMANY" series. To do! The audience recording of this day has been known among fans as the title “NAKED THUNDER RAGE” for more than 10 years. For this work, we independently obtained the master that is said to be the basis of this title, and made it into a disc after accurate pitch adjustment and careful remastering. From the opening song "Highway Star," the audience around the taper is a little noisy, but with the lively drumming of Pace in the background, Gillan's vocals, Ritchie's sharp guitar, and the energetic band's performance are clearly defined. We have a clear outlook. It is generally said that the internal feuds within the band started to become noticeable around this time, but Richie's playing on this day was very sharp, as can be heard in the solo of "Highway Star", and he played "Black Night" and "A Twist In." “The Tail” also lets you listen to a performance with a sense of unity involving John, Pace, and others. In the first two minutes of “Difficult To Cure,” which follows “Perfect Strangers,” Richie plays a solo that incorporates phrases from “The Mule,” creating a wonderful part that flows as the entire band improvises. Naturally, the band plays tight and thrillingly on "Difficult To Cure," forming a major listening point in the first half of the live show that continues until "Knocking At Your Back Door" (Richie and John's "Knocking At Your Back Door" ''s solo is exquisite! Even in the second half of the live performance, Richie's "motivation" was brought to the forefront with songs such as "Anya", which created a superb sound world with the band's positive play, and "Space Truckin'", which featured "Hall Of The Mountain King". boasts outstanding listenability in every situation. As you can hear in the official live "COME HELL OR HIGH WATER", the encore "Speed King" starts with a passage of the German national anthem as an introduction, and also includes "Burn", which started spontaneously with a solo. It has won an explosive reaction from the audience. The last part of the live performance is of course “Smoke On The Water”, which brings the approximately 2-hour live performance to a close. At the beginning of the song, Richie's quiet tone spins a melodious tune, creating a big clap that unites the entire audience, giving the listener a wonderful sense of realism. Even in the main part of the song, the audience responded enthusiastically to Gillan's encouragement, and you can see PURPLE's potential as a live band. After listening to such an excellent performance, I can't understand why the 7th generation of PURPLE collapsed a month after this live performance! With the appearance of this sound source, the whole picture of the 1993 German tour conducted by the 7th DEEP PURPLE has been revealed. For those of you who have collected the past "BATTLE OVER GERMANY" series, this work is a long-awaited release, with not only the sound source but also the jacket binding. For fans who have listened to all 12 performances that have appeared in the series so far, there is a scene in the latter half of "Smoke On The Water" where Gillan expresses his gratitude, saying, "Today is the last day of our German tour. Everyone is fantastic. Thank you." A special feeling that cannot be described will well up in your heart. After all, if you don't finish listening to this Stuttgart performance, the German tour will not be complete! The officially announced live recording will be a revolutionary title that will tell you the truth about the show from the perspective of the audience. With a high-quality performance that will leave you overwhelmed no matter how many times you listen to it, and a highly collectable piece that even hardcore enthusiasts can't miss, this work is definitely a must-listen for all DEEP PURPLE fans.
