The "THE HOUSE OF BLUELIGHT" American tour, which started in April 1987, was so fulfilling that the members said it was "fun," and the official live album "NOBODY'S PERFECT" was recorded. However, due to Richie's injury at the Phoenix, Arizona performance on May 30th, subsequent dates were cancelled, and the band's momentum was dampened. After Richie recovered from his injury, the band began the second leg of their first European tour since February of that year. On August 30th, we also performed at a festival in Pforzheim, Germany. This work records the performance in Helsinki, Finland on August 19th, which was the first day of the '87 summer tour, in master quality with excellent image and sound quality, and lasts for about 2 hours. Although the shot was taken from a distance, the equipment and the photographer's skills were excellent, so even close-ups using a telephoto lens are stable and beautiful, allowing you to clearly enjoy the stage pattern. There are noticeable cuts in "Highway Star" at the beginning of the live show, and in the first half of "Strange Kind Of Woman", the screen is dark and somewhat unstable, but when the screen recovers at around 1:07 of the song, From then on, it is recorded in high-quality video with excellent stability until the end. The lighting on the stage, which was based on the blue color associated with the album title, was very clear. Even the people on stage are captured with such sharp and clear outlines that you can almost make out their facial expressions (despite the telephoto lens). The interaction between Richie and Gillan that is first noticed in "Strange Kind Of Woman" clearly shows Richie and Gillan acting funny, and fans will be surprised but fascinated by the screen. In "The Unwritten Law," the band logo's lighting projected with a laser beam behind the stage catches the eye. It's wonderful to see not only Pace's drum solo, but also the clear details of each member. In addition, there are numbers from "THE HOUSE OF BLUELIGHT" such as "Dead Or Alive" with a wonderful interaction between Richie and John, "Hard Lovin' Woman" which is solid and active, and "Bad Attitude" which is symphonic and full of a heavy mood. I'm just happy to be able to enjoy it with such great images. During ``Child In Time,'' the audience seats are lit with ``lighter candles,'' which are not commonly seen in Japan (due to disaster prevention concerns), creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Gillan's voice came out well on this day, and Richie and John's solos were also spectacular. In particular, Richie takes a stand next to the drum riser and performs an energetic long solo. The thrilling and tight "Knockin' At Your Back Door" is a must-see take. After the performance, Gillan can be seen taking Richie's hand as a sign of respect (Ritchie is also in good spirits, shaking hands with the audience in the front row), which will also surprise fans. It is generally said that the band's condition has deteriorated since the summer of 1987, but in this video they perform as if there were no such negative elements. The highlight of the second half of the live performance, "Space Truckin'," is cool from the intro with Gillan whistling, and the sight of all the members gathered around the drum riser to perform is thrilling. Richie in the solo part in the second half of the song is already the best. He rubs his guitar against the pedals at his feet, and at the end, he lies on his stomach on the stage. He is full of service-oriented action (especially Ritchie, who kicks the giant balloon)! After that, you can fully enjoy the live performance, from “Woman From Tokyo” where Richie and Gillan start talking while talking about something, to “Smoke On The Water” which is full of enthusiastic mood. With a clear screen, excellent sound quality, and fulfilling performance, this work is definitely the best video capturing the '87 tour. In addition to the 105-minute live performance, a special bonus video at the end includes about 15 minutes of Richie and the crew playing soccer on the pitch before the show starts on the same day. Fans will not be able to resist the sight of Ritchie running around the field with great agility and displaying his brilliant ball handling. Although it has no direct relation to music, this is a rare video that is a must-see. Live at Jaahalli, Helsinki, Finland 19th August 1987 AMAZING SHOT!!! 1. Highway Star 2. Strange Kind Of Woman 3.
