Even in the well-established official archive of DEEP PURPLE, the Joe Lynn Turner era has been ignored by the official. A collection of audience shots that witness the live in Japan will be released. This work is a three-disc set that contains the entire performance from Joe's only visit to Japan to the "June 24th, 25th, and 27th, 1991: Nippon Budokan". If you remember the dates at that time, you'll be "Oh!" with just this, but it's natural if you don't remember that much. Let's check it out... ・June 24th: Nippon Budokan [Disc 1 of this work] ・June 25th: Nippon Budokan [Disc 2 of this work] ・June 26th: Osaka Castle Hall "COMPLETE OSAKA 1991" ・June 27th: Nippon Budokan [Disc 3 of this work] ... and it's like this. This "SLAVES AND MASTERS JAPAN TOUR 1991" was Osaka Castle Hall + Nippon Budokan 3DAYS, and this work is "all" Nippon Budokan. Previously, we also introduced "COMPLETE OSAKA 1991" as a gift title, but it is a big decision board that can complete the "scenery" of the Japanese performance when combined. You may hear the voice saying "Then include Osaka", but this work is a collection with a sense of unity of "the same photographer" on top of "Nippon Budokan". Of course, even if it is the same photographer, the angles are different and the points are different. Let's talk about each in detail. [Disc 1: June 24th (first day of the tour)] First of all, the first day was the first appearance of "Joe Lynn DP". The records of this tour were famous only for Osaka (June 26th) and the final day of Nippon Budokan (June 27th), but the first half was also well recorded. Angle seen from the second floor seats almost directly to the right of the stage (Ritchie Blackmore side). It doesn't seem to be the front row, but because of the angle, it's a great shot that allows you to look directly at the stage with almost no obstructions. Of course, Joe and Richie are the main focus, but you can also see Roger Glover and the lively Jon Lord. The sound that suits the scene is also excellent, and it reaches straight and clear, and the sense of solidity that overpowers the enthusiasm is also wonderful. It seems like it could be made into a CD with a little mastering and balancing. However, the reason they don't do that (can't) is because there are cuts. Almost the entire concert is held, but "Child In Time / Black Night" and "Truth Hurts" are cut. It would be fatal for a CD with only sound, but with this work of "scenery", you can immerse yourself in it without being bothered by it. [Disc 2: June 25th (2nd day of tour)] The next day's disc 2 is the best disc in this work. What's best of all is that it's completely uncut! From the moment the intro to "Burn" sounds, "I really did it..." to the cheers of "That's great, that's great!" as the members are seen off, it's a masterpiece that allows you to witness the full show in one go. Although the sound of Disc 1 is about half a step better than Disc 1 in terms of the solidity of the sound, it doesn't mean "this disc is OK!", but there is no sound distortion and you can still enjoy the full show. The angle is also excellent. This is also a view from the right side of the stage (Ritchie side), but compared to Disc 1, which was straight to the side, this is about 45 degrees diagonally. Therefore, the atmosphere of the stage is even easier to understand. Moreover, the bold zoom is also good. This is the same as Disc 1, but even if it is a freehand hidden shot, it is stabilized with guts and does not miss the highlights. Judging from the fact that he is also careful about the speed of scrolling and zooming, it seems that he was a person who was very used to shooting concerts. Even with that bold zoom, the vivid color development and the master freshness that is beautifully displayed are also surprising. [Disc 3: June 27th (last day of the tour)] The last disc 3 is the last day. This is a familiar show from the press 2CD "TOKYO 1991 FINAL NIGHT (Darker Than Blue 218/219)". This disc is a bit maniac. Of course, this is not a technical term that translates to "no good". This is also a view from the second floor seats on the right side (Ritchie's side), but the angle is acrobatic, and it is a seat at the very back of the stage. Therefore, it is almost all the backs of the members. However, it is closeness that does not mean "no good". It is by far the closest through the three performances, and even the fringe of Richie's costume is super clear. Roger's facial expression, which often climbs up to the drum riser because of the angle, is quite featured, and it is also an interesting point (albeit maniac) that you can clearly see Richie's equipment at his feet. Unfortunately, there is a cut on this disc, and the first three songs are cut off and start halfway through "Truth Hurts". There is no "Love Conquers All" in the middle of the show. However, the close-up shots and the direct, clear sound that comes from being so close are the best of the three. This is one that proves that "maniac = no good". The Joe Lin era, which was a unique and unique era in the history of DEEP PURPLE. The footage alone is extremely valuable, but this is a luxurious set that allows you to enjoy it for 3 days at Nippon Budokan for 4 hours and 12 minutes. You can enjoy the unity of "Nippon Budokan" and "the same photographer", or you can complete all the performances together with "COMPLETE OSAKA 1991". This is an inevitable 3-disc collection for those who love DEEP PURPLE. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 24th, 25th & 27th June 1991 Disc 1(86:59) Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 24th June 1991 1.
