The "PERFECT STRANGERS" tour, which the fifth DEEP PURPLE toured around the world from 1984 to 1985, is well known in detail through audience recordings in various locations, some line sources, and even audience footage. Still, the only live footage that can "replace the official" is actually the "Rockpalast" material, which recorded the Paris performance on July 9, 1985. This work is an itemized version of the familiar live footage, carefully polished based on a master excavated overseas. The quality, which can be said to be the best ever, is truly "second only to the official work". It is a masterpiece that was highly praised by enthusiasts on the same day, who said, "There is still nothing that can surpass this." The fact that it sold out in an instant immediately after being restocked from overseas the other day is also proof of its popularity. The contents are not even a little "cut corners" or "downgraded in specs", with two types of audio packaged as "original" and "remaster" (you can switch between them even during video playback) and original menus! As time passed, the reunited DEEP PURPLE ended up rekindling the problem of the second period, "Ritchie and Gillan's conflict", and the resumption of Gillan's firing, Joe Lynn Turner's participation and departure, Gillan's rejoining and Richie's departure. Among them, the partnership between Richie and Gillan was functioning normally almost only at the time of this "PERFECT STRANGERS". In this work, you can enjoy the "best time of the reunited PURPLE" in the highest image quality. As you may know if you are a seasoned enthusiast, in this "Rockpalast", there was an incredible item where Richie's guitar was off depending on the material. However, in this work, the guitar is featured with a loud and powerful force, and the solo can be heard in detail, as well as the detailed play of the backing. Of course, the best soundboards also include Jon Lord's keyboards, Ian Paice's drums, and Roger Glover's driving bass, which make this band DEEP PURPLE. Gillan's throat was not in good condition that day, but the video is so clear that it makes you forget about it, capturing their active movements. The two types of sound incorporated in the remaster bring out the dynamism of the performance, while the standard original makes the most of the quality of the material. Both have great sounds that match the video, and you can enjoy a stage full of heat and dynamism. When Richie is on the big stage, he plays with a service-oriented spirit, as if he's saying, "Let's do it once." That spirit is also on display on this day. In the opening song "Highway Star", he plays a solo while facing Gillan, and in the second half of "Strange Kind Of Woman", he challenges Gillan with a mischievous look, and shows off flashy actions that are conscious of television recordings, and performs a performance that catches the attention of fans. In addition, like the call-and-response in the second half of "Strange Kind Of Woman", Richie is also impressive for trying to communicate positively not only with Gillan but also with the other members. It is easy to understand that Richie's high motivation on this reunion tour makes the live performance at the time of "PERFECT STRANGERS" even more special. Interwoven with past classics, new songs such as "Nobody's Home", "A Gypsy's Kiss", "Perfect Strangers", "Under The Gun" and "Knockin' At Your Back Door" shine, making it clear that DEEP PURPLE is not a "legend of the past" but is "presently ongoing" and is reaching its peak with each member. Gillan's singing, which seemed a little difficult in the first half of the live, gradually regained his rhythm, and with Roger's support, he performed his own powerful performance in "Space Truckin'". Fans can enjoy a live performance filled with fun and excitement, from the encore "Woman From Tokyo", "Black Night" to "Smoke On The Water". This work, which packages some of the best footage in DEEP PURPLE's career over 104 minutes with original menus and quality that is comparable to the official version, is a must-experience for all PURPLE fans! For those of you who were unable to see the film during the last restock because it was sold out, we hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy it!
