From the American tour that the fourth generation DEEP PURPLE conducted in 1976 in conjunction with the release of "COME TASTE THE BAND", the final performance at the "Swing Auditorium" in San Bernardino, California on February 28th was the 1976 tour. It is made into a disc using a high-quality master that is especially easy to listen to even with the audience sound source that recorded. DEEP PURPLE concluded their 1975 tour with a performance in Tokyo on December 15th, and will begin a large-scale two-month tour in the United States at the beginning of the year with a performance in Fort Bragg on January 14th, 1976. . There were some negative aspects to the band during their performance in Japan, such as a major disaster in Indonesia and Tommy's arm injury, but after rebuilding themselves and on their American tour, the band regained its "character" and performed an official live show. They performed a stable live performance that can be seen in the sound source "LIVE IN CALIFORNIA LOGBEACH ARENA 1976". Furthermore, thanks to the reputation of ``an American joining a famous British band,'' the audience cheered loudly, and this American tour could be considered the peak of the fourth season of PURPLE. This sound source contains the live performance on February 28th, when there were only 4 performances left on the American tour (by the way, the previous day, February 27th, was the official live performance at Long Beach Arena). The sound source of this day is a show known to old maniacs as “SAN BERNADIANO 2.28.76” (along with the place name miscredit). Although this sound source was an incomplete recording, it was a title with many fans as a sound source with balance and ease of listening, but like ``MORE TASTE!'', it has long since disappeared, and has been praised by fans who have followed it. is also one of the books that I hope will appear again. This time, just like the bonus title "TIGHT & LAST" that comes with "DRIVING ME WILD", we have obtained a direct copy from the master tape that was the source of this famous sound source, and have carefully remastered it. It has been made into a sound disc, and has been revived as a sound that can be enjoyed by modern fans. The original master showed deterioration in some places, and although there were skips and tape twists in the first half of "Burn," a very stable sound was contained after that. The clear and well-balanced instrument balance and separation, the appropriate distance from the stage, and the sense of realism are all at the highest level. Songs such as "Lady Luck" and "Love Child", in which the band has a full-bodied groove, shine even more attractively with the rich tone of the original recording. "Gettin' Tighter", in which Glenn Hughes sprinkles funk and soulful colors, is especially wonderful, and the sound that you can clearly hear from Tommy's detailed guitar play to Glenn's unique bass notes is a long performance of about 15 minutes. It will make you listen to it easily. The realistic guitar tone of the “Smoke On The Water” intro is amazing, and if you just listen to it for a while, you might mistake it for a sound board. Of course, John's Hammond and Pace's drums are also a rich sound that is worth listening to, and "Georgia On My Mind" included in the same song is also reproduced with the unbearable texture unique to analog, which will make all listeners groan. As previously released, "Lazy" and Tommy's solo song "Homeward Strut", the accompanying medley of John and Pace, and the encore "Highway Star" are not included, but from "This Time Around", which is the listening point in the second half of the live performance. You can listen to it clearly by playing "Stormbringer". The sense of separation in "Stormbringer" is so good that it's hard to believe that this is an audience source from over 35 years ago, and you can hear Tommy's guitar, John's organ, Pace's drums, etc. each clearly separated. It can be divided. I declare that the value of this work is great just by listening to this take! Perhaps because of the existence of official sound sources, there are not many live sound sources from this 1976 American tour compared to the number of shows, but this sound source is definitely the top recording among the audience sources of the fourth PURPLE. The sound and performance will captivate all PURPLE fans. This is a particularly interesting book to learn about the fourth period, which includes a variety of music such as blues, funk, and soul!
