The 50th anniversary edition of "CALIFORNIA JAM 1974" was released the other day and has been a huge hit. A special edition that allows you to easily experience its greatness has been decided to be released. This work contains, of course, "California Jam on April 6, 1974". Based on the official complete pro shot, two types of soundboard audio are recorded. One of the sounds is the official soundboard as it is, but the other is completely different. It is synchronized with the "soundboard reel" that was unearthed two years ago and shocked collectors all over the world. Of course, the key point is the latter "soundboard reel". It is a version that was also released the other day as "CALIFORNIA JAM 1974 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION", but its greatness can be further felt by comparing it with the general official version. So, in order to let as many people as possible experience this shock, we have prepared a "comparison only" that allows you to switch between audio. However, if you missed the update the other day, some of you may be wondering, "What is the 50th anniversary edition?" For those of you, we will explain it again from scratch here. Synchronizing the reel sound board excavated two years ago As mentioned above, this work contains two audios, "Reel To Reel Audio" and "Original Video Audio", and when played with the latter, it becomes the normal official version of "CALIFORNIA JAM 1974". The important thing is the former "Reel To Reel Audio", which is the "sound board reel" that was excavated two years ago and shocked collectors all over the world. This sound board suddenly appeared on the Internet in 2022. It is fundamentally different from conventional broadcast sound boards and official live albums, and was recorded from a microphone placed in front of the amplifier on stage. In other words, the sound output from the on-site PA of the legendary stage was recorded exactly as it was. When you watch it on such a real sound board, even the super famous footage is so vivid and fierce that it makes your head spin. The footage is stuck in your mind, and the performance itself is familiar. However, the impression is completely different, and there is no cheering of 250,000 people, and no processing to create the atmosphere of a concert. It is because you are so familiar with the scene that you feel as if your brain has a bug. Of course, it is a bug, but it is certainly a super pleasure. The close-up shots unique to multi-camera pro shots are projected on the screen, and the live performance emanating from the hands and mouths attacks you unprocessed and unedited. The vocals are blown into your ears with every breath, and the guitar feels not only the vibration of the strings, but even the feeling of fingerprints rubbing the wound strings. The same sense of reality is felt for the drums, keyboards, and bass. The bass sound that takes the solo in the middle of "Space Truckin'" is so intense... If I were to compare this feeling to something, well... it would be like the feeling of the staff on site. The professional shot footage has two features: a "work feel" that connects cool scenes, and a "closeness" that comes from close-ups, and the official DVD with its polished sound has a stronger image of the former. It is a work feel that could be called "cinematic". In contrast, this work with unprocessed and synchronized sound has a "closeness" that is exposed. That is what gives you the immersive feeling of witnessing a legendary performance in the wings of the stage. Easily compare by switching the audio This work is a special edition that allows you to freely switch between such "Reel To Reel Audio" and the original official audio "Original Video Audio". Basically, it is set to "Reel To Reel Audio" like the main press DVD, but you can switch to the original "Original Video Audio" at any time during playback, so there is no need to change the disc every time. You can freely compare any part (of course, you can play the whole thing with either audio). This work can be easily compared even by those who have the official DVD, and if you do not have the official version, you can rest assured. It is such a convenient two-audio version. A chance to experience the shocking 50th anniversary version in a special specification. The strongest work ever! A must-see, must-have, must-experience legendary pro shot two-audio special edition has been released. In addition to the official audio, it also includes the amplifier audio on stage. Not only is it extremely vivid, but it is a special edition with a convenient specification that you can easily switch and compare at any time.
