This high-quality stereo soundboard recording captures Deborah Harry's 1989 London concert, shortly after the release of her third solo album, "Def, Dumb & Blonde." Deborah Harry changed her name from "Debbie" to "Deborah" on November 30, 1989, shortly after the release of her third solo album, "Def, Dumb & Blonde." The album was produced with the help of many connections, including Mike Chapman, who produced her four Blondie albums. The second night of the "Def, Dumb & Blonde" tour, held on November 29th and 30th, was part of the US and European tour that began in September of the same year, shortly before the album's release. This broadcast recording, recorded on high-quality stereo soundboard by BBC Radio One, captures the second night of the tour at London's Town & Country Club on November 29th and 30th. This recording, broadcast one month after the concert, offers excellent clarity and excellent mix and balance, despite limited stereo separation. The setlist features tracks from their then-new album, Def, Dumb & Blonde, including the lead single "I Want That Man," which reached the top 20 in the UK singles chart and number two in Australia, and "Kiss It Better," which reached the top 15 on the US Modern Rock chart. The set also includes "French Kissin'," a single from their second album that reached number eight in the UK charts, the opening track "Dreaming," as well as Blondie hits like "Heart of Glass" and "Call Me." Finally, the set concludes with a cover of the Velvet Underground classic "Waiting for My Man" and the Ramones' new song "Pet Semetary," released in May of the same year and the theme song for the film of the same name.
