From his 1984 US solo tour leading his own band, El Rayo-X, the live performance on February 2nd is recorded as a soundboard sound source from the broadcast master, although the location details are unknown. Although he has often collaborated with Jackson Browne and Ry Cooder, this is a rare solo performance, and of course, he shows off his exquisite slide play here and there. Three songs from his first solo released in 1981, including covers, such as "I Fort the Law" arranged in a reggae style, are reminiscent of the official live album released the previous year. Here's a live performance that will make you think. 01. Do You Wanna Dance / 02. Texas Tango / 03. I Fought The Law / 04. Talk To The Lawyer / 05. She Took Off My Romeos / 06. Shame And Scandal In The Family / 07. Band Intros / 08. Papa Was A Rolling Stone / 09. Your Old Lady / 10. Brother John / 11. Mercury Blues [Live at Unknown Venues, February 2nd 1984 : soundboard recording]
