A superb live album will be released from the “5 Days at Royal Albert Hall (RAH”) which marks the end of “RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR”.This week, “ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2016 1ST NIGHT” from the first day of RAH5DAYS will also be released. Although it will appear, this work was recorded as an audience album on the second day “September 25, 2016”. There are three main points to this work. The first is the superb sound. “ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2016 1ST NIGHT” released at the same time had a wonderful sound, but this work is even more dazzling. Although the detailed recording position is not transmitted, the closer and thicker sound is almost vivid like a sound board. “Almost” means that it is not completely sound board-like, but that is not a drawback but a beauty. After all, the venue is “RAH”, a sacred place that Britain is proud of to the world, so even the acoustics of the venue are artistic. The thickness of the response is stronger in ``1ST NIGHT'', but in this work it is only subtle, and the transparency is wonderful. Gilmore's guitar has a clear yet elegant "ringing" down to the picking nuances, and the female chorus stretches beautifully and straight, as if to perfectly depict the space of "RAH." Of course, if the deep bass of the bass is also glossy, each drum beat will be clearly detailed. Considering Gilmore's musicality, it is hard to abandon the vivid fantasy feeling of "1ST NIGHT", but this work has an even more ultra-high sound quality that can be understood by everyone. Of course, just like the previous masterpiece recordings, this work has been carefully selected and supervised by a world-renowned authority on Pink Floyd research. The second point to note is the date. As I mentioned in the commentary for “1ST NIGHT,” five consecutive performances were held at the same “RAH” exactly one year ago. The recording date of this work is “September 25, 201 “6”, but there is also a “RAH concert” on “September 25, 201 “5”, and it is included in “ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2015”. There is. However, one year ago was the third of five performances, and although it is not as thorough a fixed-point observation as the "first day of 1ST NIGHT", you can still enjoy the evolution of one year (1 year For a comparison with the previous version, please refer to the explanation of "1ST NIGHT"). And the third thing is the set list. ``1ST NIGHT'' had completely the same composition as the previous European tour (the set introduced as ``SET B+D'' on the European tour), but for this work, further improvements were added, and ``the unique set of the UK tour'' was used. set. The changed part is at the end of the main set. “The Girl In The Yellow Dress” has been dropped and “Us And Them” has been revived. This change is a final twist on the tour, but it cannot simply be said to be the "final form". It changed daily during the “RHA 5 days”. Let's organize it a bit... ・September 23rd = "The Girl In The Yellow Dress" ・September 25th = "Us And Them" ← [This work] ・September 28th = "Us And Them"・September 29th = "Us And Them" ・September 30th = "The Girl In The Yellow Dress" ...and so on. I wonder if they changed back to "The Girl In The Yellow Dress" on the final day because they weren't satisfied with the flow, or if it was out of consideration for the repeat guests at the venue... That decision could only be judged by an untalented person, and everyone. I have no choice but to leave it to you. For both the rabbit and the corner, the biggest appeal of this work is that you can listen to the final destination “RAH” of “RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR” with the best sound. That's all. Currently, maniacs all over the world are in the midst of excavating and verifying the sound source of "RAH 5 Days", and this is a masterpiece live album in which such "current" enthusiasm rises from the best. It's been a year since it became a hot topic for his "first solo tour in 9 years" and "big performance of Floyd songs." A great recording to fully enjoy the “RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR” that has finally come to an end.
