“RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR” is finally completed. Last September, Dave Gilmore attracted attention for his ``first solo tour in nine years,'' and since then, he has spent a whole year touring the world. The final leg was five consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall (hereinafter referred to as "RAH"), a traditional venue proud of our homeland. The final UK leg also ended successfully at the end of September. We are already starting to receive news of the live album. This work is an audience album containing the first day of those five performances, “September 23, 2016.” Before we get into the details, let's take a look back at our progress over the past year. ・September 5th - September 19th, 2015: Preview & European Tour #1 (6 shows) ・September 23rd - October 3rd, 2015: UK Tour #1 (5 shows) ← First day is September 23rd Sun・December 11th-December 20th, 2015: South America tour (6 performances)・March 24th-April 12th, 2016: North American tour (11 performances)・April 24th, 2016: TEENAGE CANCER TRUST (1 performance) ・June 25th - July 28th, 2016: European tour #2 (17 performances) ・September 23rd - 30th, 2016: UK tour #2 (5 performances) ← Here too, the first day was 9 The above is a total of 50 performances of “RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR”. This work is the first day of the final leg “UK #2”. This “UK #2” is “RAH” for all 5 performances, but even more so, the 6 performances of “UK #1 + TEENAGE CANCER TRUST” are also “RAH”. What's a little interesting here is the date; both the opening day of the first "UK #1" and the opening day of "UK #2" included in this work are "September 23rd." In other words, exactly one year later, they started playing five shows in the UK at the same "RAH" (you can also enjoy the "September 23, 201 "5"" performance on "ROYAL ALBERT HALL 2015") . Well, Gilmore returned to his home country a year later. This work, which contains the first day, has a wonderful audience sound. This tour featured a series of amazing recordings from all over the world, giving the appearance of a "high-quality Olympics," but it felt like the home country was also participating, not to be outdone. Although the sound that slightly contains the acoustic components of the venue is a little different from the type that would be called "just like a soundboard," the robust and sharp-edged musical sound is comparable to line recording. What's more, the place that produces this sound is the sacred place "RAH", which is unlike any other place. The echoes themselves are musical, and the elegant "ringing" is as beautiful as the honor of a prestigious family, giving Gilmore Music an indescribable sense of fantasy. At our store, we have carefully selected and finished the sound sources under the supervision of a world-renowned authority on Pink Floyd research, and this work is also a sound source that is suitable for those reliable glasses. What is depicted with such a sound is a show that makes you feel the progress of a year. Of course, I can feel the skill of the performance and the band's ability, but what is more vivid is the structure of the show. There is no change in the new song lineup of "RATTLE THAT LOCK" compared to "September 23rd" a full year ago, but the order of the songs has changed significantly, and the perfection that has been made through repeated minor changes during the tour is evident. . And even more different is the Floyd number. "Us And Them" and "Astronomy Domine", which were played a year ago, have disappeared, and songs like "What Do You Want From Me," "The Great Gig In The Sky," "One Of These Days," and "Coming Back To Life" have disappeared. A group of famous songs solidify key points. This definitely follows the flow of "Europe #2" two months ago (the set we have been introducing as "SET B+D" so far), and it is a complete product that is truly the result of "trial and error." It's a show. “RATTLE THAT LOCK TOUR” evolved over a full year. This work, which contains the first day of the final leg, is not only wonderful as a live album, but also an album that allows you to feel the progress of evolution on the "same date" and "same venue". The more you have followed the famous recordings from various countries, the more deeply you will be able to surrender to the deep taste and emotion. Such a progressive masterpiece recording.
