David Gilmour has announced his first new album in nine years, "LUCK AND STRANGE," and is embarking on a long-awaited world tour. Here is the best video that lets you fully experience the latest stage. This work was shot in Rome on September 28, 2024. This is a superb audience shot. Gilmour's solo tour continues the tradition of PINK FLOYD, and its latest form is the focus of attention around the world. This work is also the first report, so let's start by taking a bird's-eye view of the latest tour's activities. "LUCK AND STRANGE" released on September 6th: September 20th + 21st: Brighton (dress rehearsal) September 27th - October 3rd: Rome (6 performances) ←★Here★ October 9th - 15th: London (6 performances) October 25th - 31st: Los Angeles (4 performances) November 4th - 10th: New York (5 performances) This is the David Gilmour in 2024 that has been announced so far. This "LUCK AND STRANGE Tour" does not go around each country and city thoroughly, but rather has a style of overlapping stages in major cities in three countries with several performances each. Rome, Italy was chosen from continental Europe, and this work was the second performance. The two performances in Brighton at the beginning were just dress rehearsals. This work was also the second performance at the start of the full-scale tour. This work, which vacuum-packs such an early stage, is a spectacular view like a painting. There are no shadows from the front seats at all, and if you pull back as far as you can, you can enjoy the circular screen, and if you zoom in on Gilmore, half of his body fills the screen. You can see the shooting position in the pre-show scene, which is a bit interesting. It's at the back of the block directly in front of the stage, but he stood up to shoot while the rest of the venue was sitting, so the viewpoint is high and he was able to frame out any obstructions. Since he was the only one standing up while almost everyone was sitting, he must have been quite conspicuous, and the surrounding customers and security were actually looking at him. Even though it's an age where filming has become commonplace, it's a situation where he could be told at any moment, "Sit down! You can't see!" (When the surrounding audience stands up during a popular song, you can see a glimpse of their hands clapping). He must have had incredible courage, or he was disguised as a staff member to film... Either way, thanks to him, we can enjoy the superb view where only the stage takes up our field of vision. Another interesting thing is the preciousness of the video itself. Immediately after it was released online, it became a hot topic for its incredible beauty, but it was quickly deleted. Even though they were taking bold photos on the spot, they couldn't be seen, and they were not allowed to be made public. Well, it's true that it's a superb view that makes you want to criticize it. It's also a visual beauty that makes it seem as if one angle of a professional shot had leaked. What is depicted in this superb view that even the official is frightened of is the whole picture of the latest tour that the whole world has been waiting for with bated breath. Finally, let's organize the contents of the set. Solo (10 songs) ・Flight: 5 A.M. / In Any Tongue / A Boat Lies Waiting ・Encounter: Black Cat / Luck And Strange / Vita Brevis / Between Two Points / The Piper's Call / Dark And Velvet Nights / Scattered PINK FLOYD (11 songs + α) ・Madness: Breath (In The Air) / Time / Breath (Reprise) / The Great Gig In The Sky ・Pair: Marooned / High Hopes / A Great Day For Freedom / Coming Back To Life ・Other: Fat Old Sun / Wish You Were Here / Comfortably Numb / Sorrow ... and so on. It's a well-balanced set that centers around his two recent solo albums, "RATTLE THAT LOCK" and "LUCK AND STRANGE," but also includes about half of PINK FLOYD's masterpieces. Moreover, the classics are not just the standard, "Breathe (In The Air)" and "A Great Day For Freedom" are the first in 18 years since the "ON AN ISLAND Tour", and "Marooned" has hardly been played by the original PINK FLOYD, and even solo since the charity event for the 50th anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster in 2004. This is a valuable song that was included in the regular set of the tour for the first time. "Rather than an audience shot, it's a pro shot angle" ... It's a semi-standardized compliment, but there are few images that are as suitable as this work. This is the first report of a super-spectacular view that allows you to fully experience the "LUCK AND STRANGE Tour" with such immersiveness. A super-spectacular audience shot of the "September 28, 2024 Rome performance". There is no shadow of the front seats at all, and if you pull it all the way, you can enjoy the circular screen, and if you zoom in on Gilmore, half of his body fills the screen. It's an absolute video that allows you to fully experience the latest "LUCK AND STRANGE Tour" with PINK FLOYD's rare songs, as if one angle of a professional shot has leaked out.
