This is the second Japan tour that was realized during the “Berlin era.” A masterpiece live album recording the highlight performances will be released. This work includes the "December 11, 1978: Nippon Budokan" performance 40 years ago. Speaking of the 1978 Japan tour, it was the second most popular tour after the first visit to Japan. In particular, the Tokyo performance has become a regular event with TV broadcasts. First, let's check the show's position from the schedule at that time.・December 5th: Nagoya City Public Hall ・December 6th: Osaka Employees' Pension Hall ・December 7th: Osaka Employees' Pension Center ・December 9th: Osaka Expo Memorial Hall ・December 11th: Nippon Budokan [This work] ]・December 12th: NHK Hall *Television broadcast "TOKYO 1978" and above, 6 performances in total. This work is a masterpiece audience recording containing Bowie's first Nippon Budokan live. Since it is such a monumental show, our store also archives it with numerous audience titles. It has also been loved as part of the definitive albums ``BUDOKAN 1978'' and ``BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.'' This work is completely different from such masterpieces. It is the “third recording”. The sound of this work is an extremely vivid and exquisite audience. The performance that pierces the clear air is very powerful, and the singing voice is also very clear. The bass, which tends to be a weak point in audience recording, is also responsive, and George Murray's bass is not only easy to understand the line, but also has a clear thumping attack feeling. And above all, Bowie's singing voice. Although the acoustics of the octagon are absorbed, it only allows the vocals to grow and does not hide the details. A beautiful recording in which every word of the lyrics and even the breathing are realistic. As a matter of fact, this recording itself has already been released, but this time it is a new master that was discovered through a different route. The previous recording of the same recording may have used a deteriorated master, and the bass was distorted or randomly distorted by nearly a semitone, but the master of this work is much fresher. It has a beautiful sound and a great sense of stability. The sound that is spelled out is the “Bowie of the Berlin era” that came to Japan. As mentioned above, this tour is famous for the TV footage from NHK Hall, but that is an edited record that was squeezed into the broadcast slot. On the other hand, this work is a complete recording that goes through the full show at once, and the seamless experience and the feeling of being present at the scene are tremendous. In the first half of the show, they performed the masterpieces "LOW" and "HEROES", an ideal fusion of krautrock's cutting-edge feel and catchy melodies. Then, as soon as the second half began, things took a turn for the worse with six consecutive renditions of ``Ziggy Stardust.'' The official masterpiece “STAGE” has also improved considerably with last year’s expanded version, but the full show of “Berlin era” runs through until “Rebel Rebel” which I could not listen to. The “Berlin period” is especially special in Bowie’s career. This work is a live album where you can fully enjoy the 100% original performance in Japan. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 11th December 1978 TRULY AMAZING SOUND(different masters to "Budokan 1978"(Wardour) & "Beauty & Beast"(Uxbridge)) Disc 1 (45:53) 1. Warsawa 2. "Heroes" 3 .
