The "Two Of Us" team, which has continued to discover the first audience of the American leg that Bowie put most effort into from the 1983 Serious Moonlight tour, has delivered 7 this time. Madison Square Garden on March 25th. Until now, the same team had released the Philadelphia performance that took place before MSG, but it seems like they are finally making a real appearance. The American leg of the Serious Moonlight Tour that has been released so far seems to have focused on Detroit in July and LA Forum in August, and even Mike Millard's masterpiece recording "L.A. FORUM 1983 1ST NIGHT : MIKE MILLARD FIRST GENERATION CASSETTES" has been released. However, if the big game in the west during the American leg of this tour from July to August is LA Forum, then MSG is in the east. That's why we received many comments from enthusiasts saying, ``I want you to release the MSG sound source as well...'' At that timing, the “Two Of Us” team uploaded MSG’s first appearance audience as if they had seen through the wishes of the mania. What makes me happy is that the sound quality of the sound source unearthed this time is truly amazing. The series of Philadelphia performances by the “Two Of Us” team also had really great sound quality, but this time the level goes even higher. First of all, the sound image is quite on, and there are some parts that are slightly distorted because of that, but the recording state is powerful enough to compensate for that. Of particular note is the drumming of the late master Tony Thompson. I'm especially surprised that they captured his bass drum footwork. Thompson's participation was a big attraction for the Serious Moonlight Tour Band, and I think it will make us rediscover that he supported the stage with his exquisite drumming. Also, since it was the first day of the first MSG show on this tour, Bowie was full of enthusiasm. As was the case with "L.A. FORUM 1983~", Bowie did not include MC at all since it was the first day (lol). It may be that he is challenging the stage with such tension and enthusiasm, but even so, Bowie’s passionate singing on this day is amazing. In addition, the sound quality is very good, so you can realistically see how the band centered on Thompson is firmly supporting Bowie in the staging that is full of his spirit. And “Red Sails” is a rare repertoire that has been performed less frequently since the tour landed in the United States, and it was only performed on this day during the three days of MSG. Enjoy such rare performances, and record the Serious Moonlight Tour's first appearance at MSG, the best new excavated audience album without any price tag!
