In 1995, Bowie went on a coupling tour with NINE INCH NAILS (hereinafter referred to as NIN), who had become the darling of the era as the standard-bearer of industrial rock. A professional shot that allows you to witness this precious sight has been decided to be released. This work was filmed at the Phoenix performance on October 18, 1995. This is the multi-camera pro shot. Although this work is of the highest quality, it is a slightly maniac leaked master, but what is shown there is the coupling scene of the century between NIN and Bowie. Before touching on the contents, let’s first check the show’s position from the schedule at that time. 1995 [“OUTSIDE” released on September 25th] ・September 14th – October 31st: North America (27 performances) ←★Coco★ ・November 14th – December 13th: UK (16 performances) 1996・January 17th - February 20th: Europe #1 (23 performances) ・June 4th - 13th: Japan (7 performances) ・June 18th - July 21st: Europe #2/Israel ( 20 performances) This is Bowie in 1995/1996. Since then, the coupling of the old and new charismatic members has been a hot topic, but only the "North American" leg was actually a joint tour. There were a total of 26 performances, excluding the final day. Among them, the Phoenix performance of this work was the 20th concert. This work, taken at such a show, is a superb multi-camera professional shot that has many interesting quirks. It is a leaked master from a person involved in neither so-called television broadcasting nor distribution, and was digitized from a work tape that also included a time counter. However, the visual beauty and elaborate production are incredibly complete. A heavy and cyber worldview that is very reminiscent of the 90s, with intense camera work. The angles chosen one by one, the cuts that switch between them in a synchronized manner with the beat, and the timing of slow motion and image cuts all give off a wonderful sense of work. Masu. Despite being so well-crafted, this work is clearly unfinished. The reasons for this are the shortness of the show, which only skimmed the highlights, and the arrangement, which has no relation to chronological order. This is completely my imagination, but I think they were probably trying to make a digest video of the tour for a TV show or something. Although he has selected the songs and finished them one by one with great precision, he has not been able to assemble each song as a whole...that's what it looks like. However, the selected scenes are certainly all the delicious highlights of the coupling tour, especially the co-starring corner that seamlessly switched from NIN to Bowie. Let's replace it with the flow of the on-site show and organize the contents of this work. NINE INCH NAILS solo stage (1 song) Wish NIN & Bowie co-starring stage (5 songs, 6 takes) ・NIN + Bowie 1 person: Subterraneans/Scary Monsters/Reptile ・All NIN + Bowie bands: Hallo Spaceboy ・Reznor + Bowie band: Hurt ( 2 takes) Bowie solo stage (3 songs, 4 takes), The Man Who Sold The World / The Heart's Filthy Lesson (2 takes) / Under Pressure ... and so on. Some of the same songs are recorded in two takes, but depending on whether there is a time counter or not, if you remove the duplicates, there are 9 songs in total. There are a few solo stages by NIN and Bowie, but you can understand that more than half of them are co-stars. At first, Bowie alone participated on NIN's stage, and then the entire Bowie band appeared and performed "Hallo Spaceboy". Then, NIN members leave the stage and Trent Reznor and the Bowie Band perform "Hurt." Although this work does not follow this flow, you can enjoy the collaboration at each stage with the finest multi-camera professional shots. If they had continued to create a full show, if they had made the complete version into an official work...it is a video that has such a beautiful aesthetic that I can even feel the emotion of it now. Approximately 1 hour of professional shots depicting the precious and elaborate co-starring with even more elaborate visual beauty.
