“Hours Tour 1999” was an extremely short tour that briefly appeared in Bowie’s history and then disappeared. The multi-camera pro shot has been decided to be released. This work includes “October 9, 1999 Wembley Stadium Performance”. This is a professional shot taken when I appeared at the music event “NetAid”. “NetAid” is a joint venture between UNDP, a United Nations organization, and Cisco Systems, with the aim of combating poverty around the world. A charity concert was planned as the first initiative. It will be held simultaneously in three locations: London, New Jersey, and Geneva, with the London venue being the huge Wembley Stadium. It was a huge event in which not only Bowie but also great musicians/bands such as Bryan Adams, George Michael, Robbie Williams, EURYTHMICS, THE CORRS, CATATONIA, BUSH, and STEREOPHONICS participated. The pattern was relayed, and this work is a professional shot of that TV broadcast. Speaking of “Hours Tour” footage, the official work “VH1 STORYTELLERS” and the standard professional shot “LONDON ASTORIA 1999” are also famous. First, let's check the position from the bubble tour overview.・August 23rd: New York performance *Official “VH1 STORYTELLERS” [“hours…” released on September 21st] ・October 9th-17th: Europe #1 (4 performances) ←★Here★・November 19th : New York performance December 2nd-7th: Only 9 performances in total, better than Europe #2 (3 performances). Rather than a world tour accompanying the album, it was a schedule that could be better described as a "promotional tour." Among them, there were two shows in London, the first was this work which was the first day of "Europe #1", and the second was "LONDON ASTORIA 1999" which was "Europe #2". This work is a multi-camera professional shot that seems to be a huge event. Although analog broadcasting seems sweet to modern eyes, the recording quality and master freshness are excellent. The screen is beautiful, with no signs of dubbing or aging, and no reception noise or white line noise. The audio is also suitable for the visual beauty, and Bowie's singing voice is poured into your ears with a stable official sound board. The show drawn with that quality is also indescribably wonderful. Speaking of “Hours Tour”, there are many painful performances of Bowie who has caught a cold, but in this work, which was the first day of the tour, he is in good physical condition and shows his original brilliance. Although it was a short broadcast of 6 songs and less than 30 minutes, the set was rich. The song starts with the moving ``Life On Mars?'', which has a beautiful and relaxed singing voice, followed by ``China Girl'', which has a rare piano intro, and ``The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell'', which was not seen on ``VH1 STORYTELLERS''. It is a stage full of highlights in each song, such as “Drive In Saturday” where Mike Garson’s piano is wonderful at the end, and the energetic “Rebel Rebel” that excites the large audience for the first time in a while. It is hard to say that it is a representative video of the tour due to its short length of less than 30 minutes, but the spectacle of the huge stadium overwhelms "VH1 STORYTELLERS", and the good singing voice surpasses "LONDON ASTORIA 1999". This is a multi-camera pro shot that allows you to enjoy a short but rich show with great quality. A perfect piece to easily learn about the often overlooked “Hours Tour”.
