A new masterpiece "DEFINITIVE RAINBOW 1972" revived with an upgrade master will be released. However, “1972 Rainbow Theater” was not just that one movie. Therefore, to commemorate the release of the big decision board, a new excavation master of the “Rainbow Theater performance” will be released. This work includes “December 23, 1972 London Performance”. First of all, let's check the distance from "DEFINITIVE RAINBOW 1972" in the tour schedule. [1972] - January 29th - March 24th: UK #1 (18 performances) - April 20th - May 27th: UK #2 (15 performances) - June 2nd - July 15th : UK #3 (18 performances) ・August 19th - September 7th: UK #4 (12 performances) "DEFINITIVE RAINBOW 1972" ・September 22nd - December 2nd: North America (26 performances) ・December 23rd-29th: UK #5 (4 performances) [This work] The above is only the 1972 portion of “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR”. In 1972, the composition was ``the basic 4 people + keyboard'', but only the keyboard was changed in detail. “DEFINITIVE RAINBOW 1972”, the second performance of “UK #4”, was Nicky Graham, but after “North America” it was all Mike Garson. The London performance of this work is the first concert of "UK #5" which has overcome the North American tour. For this work, the original master cassette of the December 23rd performance was obtained through a unique route. It is a live album that was made directly into CD. The sound is truly a wonderful vintage audience. The musical tone is strong, and the ringing is full of the 70's analog feel. I'm especially happy with Mick Ronson's guitar and the charismatic "Ziggy Stardust"'s singing voice. Although it absorbs the raw enthusiasm of the scene, the musical sound is so powerful that it is completely suppressed while Ziggy is singing. What is depicted with that sound is the appearance of “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR” that has changed over the course of about four months. Especially the impact of the evening is quite impressive. “Ode to Joy” announces the start of the performance...but the usual intro tape doesn't play, and only the guitar plays that melody. It's a very rare scene, probably because it was the first day the tour resumed. From there, the avalanche begins, but instead of "Hang On To Yourself," it's the Rolling Stones cover "Let's Spend The Night Together." In fact, two weeks before this show, he was in the studio for “ALADDIN SANE” and may have already decided to record it. After that, the show becomes a digest of the set of the North American tour that decided the fate, but it is after "John, I'm Only Dancing" that I suddenly feel a sense of triumphant return to my hometown. Bowie says with deep emotion, ``Very nice to be back in London.'' At that moment, the Londoners suddenly became enthusiastic. Although the performance of this work is passionate throughout, there is a somewhat relaxed mood that pervades it, a feeling of joy and relief at returning to his hometown of London. This scene is a symbol of that. The Rainbow Theater is a famous traditional venue in London. In “DEFINITIVE RAINBOW 1972”, the mood starting with “Lady Stardust” was fresh, but this work is also a rare night where “Let’s Spend The Night Together” starts. It is a live album that condenses the flavor of the “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR” that shines brightly in rock history, while expanding the scenery unique to his hometown of London.
