Since Bowie's death in 2016, the Archive Collection series has released precious footage, including footage from overseas TV on-air sources and VHS eras that are not in the current HD standard, all of which have been released on DVD in the best quality and professional shots. The second release is a complete recording of Bowie's appearance at the Bridge School Benefit Concert hosted by Neil Young over two days on October 19th and 20th in 1996, from both stages. First of all, the footage of this annual charity event has been recorded in master quality and professional shot, with almost no footage available, and this rare acoustic live performance of Bowie. And while it was during a break in the tour following the release of the controversial album "OUTSIDE," which was a psycho-horror novel-like work, the band performed in an acoustic style that was the polar opposite of the drum and bass sound approach of the time, with only three members, Bowie (vocals and acoustic guitar), Reeves Gabrels (guitar), and Gail Ann Dorsey (bass), in a guitar-playing, word-writing style reminiscent of their early days. Moreover, the sets were switched on both days, with "I'm A Hog For You" and "Let's Dance" on the first day, and "You and I and George," "China Girl," and "White Light White Heat" on the next day. All of the acoustic versions of these songs are a must-see. As additional bonus tracks, following "Little Wonder" there is also a 1997 acoustic live performance of "Dead Man Walking," whose music video was made memorable by Sigis Mondi, and the S&G cover of "America" from 2002's "Robin Hood Benefits." The total 72-minute album is packed with a different charm to their usual gorgeous sound. 01.Aladdin Sane / 02.The Jean Genie / 03.I'm A Hog For You / 04.I Can't Read / 05.The Man Who Sold The World / 06.Heroes / 07.Let's Dance [Live at Shoreline Amphitheater, San Francisco, CA.
