In 1981, Dave Mason left the COLUMBIA label that built the Golden Age and was on tour with his late partner Jim Krueger. The out-of-print official video is reprinted on DVD from the highest peak master. The official video is “LIVE AT PERKINS PALACE”. This is a multi-camera professional shot of "1981 Pasadena Performance". This work is extremely rare. It was a phantom official video that was released only on laser disc in the United States at the time, and disappeared from history in the blink of an eye... When I write it like this, it seems like it's always the same, but the problem is that ``back then'' was different from usual. By the way. After all, the time referred to in this work is "1981", and even for video, VHS and Beta were in the middle of a standards war. Regarding laser discs, the first home-use player was released in the United States in June 1980, and in Japan, the first domestically produced player finally appeared in October 1981. In the early days when even movies and erotica, which were supposed to be a catalyst for popularization, were not going anywhere, a new music software was released. What's more, it's a laserdisc-only title that doesn't include video. It's no longer a question of whether it will sell or not, but rather just try out anything...this was a release that showed a spirit of experimentation. This work has been obtained in the best condition even though it is such a rare original release board. It is precisely digitized. The quality is so clear... it's too much. In fact, this video was made into a DVD in 2002, and a video that appears to be a DVD version has also been uploaded to a certain video site. However, most of those online distributions have soft edges and are blurred. I thought that the resolution was simply lower, but apparently that is not the case. In fact, the resolution of the video that came out of the original LD was too fine, and even the graininess of the film was poor. It was so vivid that it looked grainy. It's likely that the people on set didn't understand what kind of media laser discs were (of course), and had to fumble around with the lighting and camera settings. In this work, rather than sweeten the edges and give it a glossy finish, we have produced an exact DVD of the unprocessed high resolution (it's an amazing expression, but it's really true). What is depicted with such a non-standard vivid feeling is an acoustic show depicting a group of famous songs from the Golden Age with a primitive ensemble. Basically, it's a duo with his ally Krüger, with Tony Selvidge joining in here and there on the violin. Krueger takes most of the lead, and Mason sings passionately while strumming the backing. And the notable sets are...・TRAFFIC: Feelin' Alright?・ALONE TOGETHER: Just A Song/Sad And Deep As You・IT'S LIKE YOU NEVER LEFT: Every Woman・DAVE MASON: Bring It On Home To Me Cook) / All Alnog the Watchtower (Bob Dylan) / LET IT FLOW: We Just Disagree / Let It Go, Let It Flow / MARIPOSA DE ORO: The Words / Other covers: Stand By Me (Ben E. King) / Dust My Blues (Elmore James) / All Shook Up (Elvis Presley) / Take It To the Limit (EAGLES)... and so on. Focusing on hit numbers such as "ALONE TOGETHER," "DAVE MASON," and "LET IT FLOW," a wide selection includes "Feelin' Alright?" What's even more delicious is the variety of covers, from familiar songs like "All Alnog the Watchtower" and "Take It To the Limit" to the extremely rare "All Shook Up." is. Of course, the performance that spins such a set is also wonderful. The feeling of breathing with Krüger synchronizes so closely that you might think they are clones of the same person, and the cutting and melody are crisp. And Mason's vocals, which are the key, are wonderful in their tension and growth, and are truly at their peak. Acoustic music has an image of being somber and plain, but in this work, the interaction between the vocals and the free-flowing obli is dazzling, creating a tremendous heat. Acoustic live show with partner Jim Krueger, exposing the charm of famous songs. This is a fantastic official video that conveys such a primitive and passionate show. This is a DVD that captures all of the visual beauty that was left on extremely rare laser discs from the early days. The phantom out-of-print official video ``LIVE AT PERKINS PALACE'' containing an acoustic gig with partner Jim Krueger has been released on DVD. The extremely rare original release LD has been precisely digitized, and the quality is so clear that you can even see the grain of the film. Even the roughness of the early LD era has been accurately converted to DVD without being processed. Basically, it's a duo with his ally Krüger, with Tony Selvidge joining in here and there on the violin. You can fully enjoy an acoustic show that shows off the charm of famous songs, centered around the numbers ``ALONE TOGETHER'', ``DAVE MASON'', and ``LET IT FLOW''.
