This disc contains the standard sound source of the full concert, including the official unreleased take of the American tour during the heyday of Cream. What is included is a good monaural soundboard source of the twice-a-day show held at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom on March 10, 1968. This sound source had been released with the same content in the past, but it has disappeared from the current market, and the one we have recently acquired is a first generation digital version from a reliable source. Since it was a copy, we decided to release it because it has the highest sound quality ever. It is well known to fans that the sound source of this day was officially recorded, Sweet Wine and NSU are on the official version "LIVE CREAM", Tales Of Brave Ulysses is on "LIVE CREAM VOL.?", Spoonful and Crossroads were adopted and included in "WHEELS OF FIRE". For that reason, their performance on this day has been handed down as something divinely amazing. Furthermore, this master includes official unreleased takes. We’re Going Wrong, Sunshine Of Your Love, Steppin’ Out, Traintime, Toad, and although it’s an incomplete recording of about a minute and a half, I’m So Glad is a take that cannot be heard on the official live version. Unfortunately, the sound quality is not at the official level, and the mix is not stereo, but it was a day when the play quality was high, with the most takes adopted for the official live album, and it is the high sound quality of the first generation, so it is worth listening to. I can assure you that it is worth it. Furthermore, this board is probably the one that has achieved the best sound quality as a recording of the sound source of this day. This day was divided into sets 1 and 2, with two performances per day. It turns out they played completely different setlists in the two sets. It's a monaural mix different from the official version, so you'll get a different impression even with previously released takes. Also, in the intro of Spoonful, the voice of a female guest, which was not included in the official version, is slightly heard in the right channel. In the official recording, microphones are set up in the audience seats in order to mix cheers and applause in a well-balanced manner, but this voice probably entered one of the microphones. Considering this, it is inferred that the master of this album was not simply a monaural version of the official final stereo mix, but a monaural mix from another stereo master. You can listen to a rare version even in the official take. Since this day's take is adopted in the official version, there is no need to reiterate the splendor of this day's performance, but the focus is on the unreleased take. Were they not included in the official edition because the play quality was low? No, it's not. Cream is said to have fluctuated in their performance, with great differences in their performance depending on the day, but on this day, they played with high tension throughout. Please check it out with your ears. This place is full of cream legends. It was with this cream that Eric Clapton achieved worldwide fame during his career. So to speak, "Clapton is here." It's not just Clapton. It was with this Cream that the late Jack Bruce was acclaimed as a leading bassist, and it was because of his playing with Cream that Ginger Baker was hailed as the best drummer in the rock world. All of their tremendous performance, which has been described as ``It's as if three people are fighting on stage with their instruments,'' is here. This album will meet the expectations of hardcore fans who believe that Cream was Clapton. Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, CA. USA 10th March 1968 SBD Disc 1 (47:39) 1. Tales Of Brave Ulysses 2.
