COVERDALE/PAGE, a flashy yet dazzling legend of the 90s, has been reissued and released as a best master. This iconic footage was filmed at the "December 20, 1993: Osaka Castle Hall" performance. This is a spectacular audience shot. COVERDALE/PAGE was a legendary project in which two British rock legends teamed up, but the live performance was realized only in seven performances in Japan. While audience shots were left behind at most of the performances, there was only one video that stood out in terms of quality. That's the true nature of this work. Before we get into the intriguing content, let's first look at the show's position. Let's look back at the entire live record of COVERDALE/PAGE.・December 14th: Nippon Budokan ・December 15th: Nippon Budokan (1 day off) ・December 17th: Yoyogi Olympic Pool ・December 18th: Yoyogi Olympic Pool (1 day off) ・December 20th: Osaka-jo Hall ←★This work★ ・December 21st: Osaka-jo Hall ・December 22nd: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium A total of 7 performances. Roughly structured as "Tokyo x 4 + Western Japan x 3", the Osaka performance in this work was the first day of the latter concert. This footage itself has been famous since the video era, but this work has been made into a DVD from that best master. It is a master that has been made into a DVD before, and its quality is overwhelming. It is the most beautiful not only among the masters of the video era, but also among the entire record of COVERDALE/PAGE, and has become a huge classic, with people saying, "If you want to watch COVERDALE/PAGE, start with this." Filmed from the stands to the right of the stage (closer to Jimmy Page), the close-ups of the stars, Coverdale and Page, are incredibly smooth and beautiful, and the audio is excellent (so good it's hard to believe it was recorded with a microphone attached to the video). Not only is the master a younger generation, but the remastering has significantly improved the visuals, making them easier to see and the audio even clearer (you can also choose between the "original video version" and the "remastered version"). Even more crucial is the cinematography. From the opening "Absolution Blues," Page's performance is captured from a prime position, but the film goes beyond that with bold zooms, providing a sense of stability with virtually no noticeable camera shake. He seems to be well-versed in songs by LED ZEPPELIN and WHITESNAKE, and thoroughly tackles the highlights. Of course, the truly great performance is the historic stage. Let's take a look at the monumental setlist here. Coverdale Page (8 songs), Absolution Blues, Over Now, Pride and Joy, Take A Look At Yourself, Take Me For A Little While, Don't Leave Me This Way, Shake My Tree, Feeling Hot, and others (8 songs + α), LED ZEPPELIN: Rock and Roll, Kashmir, In My Time of Dying, White Summer-Black Mountain Side, Black Dog, WHITESNAKE: Slide It In, Here I Go Again, Sill of the Night... Looking at the tracklist below, the final track appears to be a medley of "The Ocean / Wanton Song / Feeling Hot," but "The Ocean" and "Wanton Song" are each about 30 seconds long. This is the intro to "Feeling Hot," performed in full. And the performance that caps off this set is superb. This was a limited-time project debuting in Japan, but after four shows in Tokyo, the ensemble's unity has reached a perfect level, and the staging has become even more dynamic. Not only is Page's inimitable guitar sound on full display, but his signature action is also on full display, and Coverdale's vocals are in top form. Perhaps he was thrilled to be on stage with the legendary guitarist, as he unleashed a wealth of indescribably flavorful MC chants, including "Utattee!", "Odotte!", and "Yay!!" The new songs on the album "COVERDALE/PAGE" are nostalgic, but even more striking is the sight of these legends performing each other's signature songs. Coverdale belts out a powerful Zeppelin number, drawing close to Robert Plant's legacy, while Page pays homage to his partner with a rendition of Whitesnake classics. Page's rocking out to songs by his juniors is a sight unique to this project. In addition to the stunning visuals, sound, and performance, this release also offers a wealth of digital content. The original menu also includes a full concert pamphlet. This is truly the definitive version of this legendary project, a masterpiece that has held the throne for many years. A spectacular audience shot from the "December 20, 1993: Osaka Castle Hall" performance. This legendary footage is considered the best of COVERDALE/PAGE, which boasts a wealth of audience footage, and this masterpiece has been made into a DVD from the best master. The unobstructed angles and close-up shots are overwhelming, allowing you to fully experience the masterpiece performance at the end of the tour, when the ensemble had already matured. This is a masterpiece that is "the first thing you should watch if you want to see COVERDALE/PAGE." Osaka-Jo Hall, Osaka, Japan 20th December 1993 AMAZING SHOT!!! (120:28) 1. Absolution Blues 2.
