"I was really happy to work with Jimmy Page for the last two and a half years" ... The final night of the legendary project symbolized by David Coverdale's MC, "December 22, 1993: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium". A masterpiece video that allows you to witness the scene will be released. COVERDALE/PAGE was a short-lived project that dissolved with only one album and a performance in Japan, and it felt like a dream of a few months to us. However, it was different for the people involved. As Coverdale's MC says, it has a history of two and a half years, and it was not just a game or a whim, but a project that was carefully carried out step by step. This work contains the last step. The schedule for PAGE and PLANT has already been decided, and the show was "the last today". This work is an audience shot that conveys the scene with a "scene". Let's organize it by schedule here.・December 14th: Nippon Budokan "KNEES AND PRAY" ・December 15th: Nippon Budokan "BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT" - 1 day move & off ・December 17th: National Yoyogi Stadium ・December 18th: National Yoyogi Stadium - 1 day move & off ・December 20th: Osaka Castle Hall "PRIDE & JOY" ・December 21st: Osaka Castle Hall ・December 22nd: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium [This work] In this way, COVERDALE/PAGE's concerts are seven times in total. Their representative video is "PRIDE & JOY" on "December 20th: Osaka Castle", but this work is the next masterpiece shot. It was shot from the front row of the stands on the left side of the stage (Cavadale side), and it is a superb view that looks directly at the stage with zero obstructions over the head of the arena seats. Moreover, the sense of stability is outstanding. It seems that he is using a tripod (or is he using a handrail as a tripod?), so there is almost no camera shake. Although the image quality is a bit sweet, as is typical of video shooting, the screen may be disturbed for a moment in songs such as "Over Now", but there are no dubbing marks or tracking noise, and the colors are vivid. It is a masterpiece video that allows you to fully enjoy the scene as it was at the time. The "end of the legend" that spreads with that quality is ferociously wonderful. On a normal tour, the seventh performance would be the time when the band's engine finally warms up. This work is not a well-crafted long-standing combination, but the two of them are in sync, and it seems as if Page, who is on a tour for the first time in a long time, has regained his original form. And Coverdale shines even more than that. He does not hide the joy of having his "dream" fulfilled more than the audience, and he talks, sings, and has a lot of fun. Coverdale, who started singing in a shouting style in 1987, sings with such passion that it seems as if he said, "I got this voice for today." He apparently intentionally sang huskily on the album, but in this work he stretches his voice comfortably. And the special on the final day is not just the ensemble. COVERDALE/PAGE has been performing with a roughly fixed set up to this point, but on this day only, they will surprise you by sandwiching "Whole Lotta Love" between "Shake My Tree". While Paige is playing the theremin, Denny Carmassi's signal starts and they play almost the full chorus. You can also see Paige joining the chorus in the chorus. COVERDALE/PAGE was a "dream" for Coverdale and a "signal of revival" for Paige. Although it was short, it was a big turning point project for both of them. It is the end of their journey and the culmination. It is not just a great rock video, not just a luxurious show with a rush of great songs, but a moment when the "possibility" born from the collision of two brilliant talents reached its peak. This is a film to witness and experience the scene. Please take this opportunity to enjoy it to the fullest. Live at Aichiken Taiikukan, Nagoya, Japan 22nd December 1993 1. Absolution Blues 2.
